Do you have any approximate dates of birth or birthplaces for any of them?
And were the last three the children of the first two?
If you let me know I could have a look for them.
Is Charles Thomas born 1850 the son of Alfred scissor grinder

I had this problem with the 1881 census.
A whole generation missing ,or so I thought.
Then I found them.
The census taker had left the "S" off the end of the name.
So look for variants of the spelling
Jackpot
73 Eyre Lane.
Charles Hoole 31 police constable
Jane 30
Alfred 8
Lilly 6
Jane 3
My tip is if you have an unusual name it helps- in this case Lilly- use the first name only and if you know where they were born it helps and age-in this case I used FreeBMD to age the family

retep-how do you find out the address of someone from the census forms?
If you are looking at the original image the address is in the left hand column.
If you mean how do you find people, luck, judgement, name indexe's and more luck.
And as much help as you can muster.
familysearch.org have all of the 1881 census free. plus other varied parish records etc etc
I don't know whether this is any help----
There was a famly called Hale lived in Solly St in 1940's

If you use familysearch.org take care as the transcribers are not pros. and make careless mistakes. I have an ancestor who worked at a 'coke gren'. Much later it turned out he was a burner in a coke OVEN.
