When is it, this thursday?

Is it £20+ to get in?

My dad used to take me to see the Tigers every thursday when I was a kid, I loved Reg Wilson, Dougy Wyre etc...

Still got me bobbly hat n scarf somewhere...

1) Jason Crump
2) Simon Stead
3) Nicki Pedersen

See if I am right czechroman what do you think.

Don't be late the back straight is open. You can get wet if it rains.

well i dnt think i can predict winner, im not bothered about getting wet, just the track could ruin this meeting:(

SpeedwayDan

yeah, we want it to be dry for this.
although last time i saw nicki pederson ride around owlerton was at a really wet northern riders meeting, and that wasn't too bad.

i'd predict

1st jason crump
2nd nicki pederson
3rd undecided really, i hope sean wilson can get on the rostrum, or simon stead

Bit early in the year for a promising meeting like this. It deserves a slot later in the summer when the weather should be better.
Good luck to Sean Wilson, he has done Sheffield proud!!!

yeah its way to early, they should run it on a nice warm sunday afternoon in the summer, like v hull other year, i just knew it wouldnt be a good idea to have this so early on, :(

SpeedwayDan

im sure the thinking behind having it early was to entice as many top riders as possible, which it has.
to have it early meant the top riders wouldn't be riding away at grand prix or abroad yet, plus it's a good practice meeting for them, to get sorted for the upcoming season.

you have to admit, in our country, even having this in the summer would be no guarantee of fine dry weather.
look how much dry weather we've had upto this point, it's just sods law that we'd hit a wet spell at this time:(

Paul Hudson on Look North has forecast snow for Sat/Sun. I hope he's wrong.

I've watched weather forecast on Sky this morning, it's not looking good. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope the snow comes later, much later!

I had to take my son to the NHS walk in @RHH earlier and was suprised how damp it was around there - where I am (Hackenthorpe) it's been quite bright most of the day apart from a very slight drizzle about 1pm.

Looks pretty fine on this webcam (http://sccplugins.sheffield.gov.uk/utc/cam15.htm) atm anyway.

I haven't been to Owlerton for some time so I am taking the kids to see it - we usually go to meetings only when we're on holiday lol.

One of the best meetings I have seen for some time - once the track had got a couple of races on it anyway.

Ht8 when Adams pushed back passed Pedersen for 2nd place was esp. good ( and I'm a Pederden fan - love the controversy) as were several others.

That was the 1st time I have seen Kyle Legault - I was quite impressed with his style and he didn't seem phased by the company he was racing at all.
