Hi there, does anyone know how to tell a real Gucci watch from a fake one? i found one years ago an never really knew that they fetch so much if the are genuine. Does anyone know how to tell the difference :confused:

A quality jeweller should be able to give you some advice. There are several in town who you could go to and ask them to give you a valuation for insurance purposes. As HL Brown definitely sell them they should be able to tell whether the stuff you've shown them is genuine or not.

My partner has a Gucci watch - £500, or thereabouts.

Get yourself a magnifying glass. Hers has the Gucci trademark (two 'G's facing each other) embossed in several places.

1 On the bracelet clasp
2 On the winder
3 On the North/ South/ East/ West points of the face bezel

Also, embossed on the reverse of the face is the Gucci coat of arms.

I have a stainless steel Gucci watch,On mine its got Gucci engraved into the stainless steel clasp,Gucci on the back of the face and its also got Gucci engraved on 5 links of the strap,and Gucci engraved into the mother of pearl face,
