Anj1364 24-02-2006, 05:46 PM I suppose this was South Yorkshire Police's fault as well. MidmS 24-02-2006, 07:36 PM Terrible story. What always makes me smile after an event such as this is the people that come out and say "These people are not genuine (insert club) football fans...." which cannot be that case as they are at the game wearin your clubs shirt / scarf etc. It always seems to me that football is still in denail. nez75 24-02-2006, 07:49 PM The situation between the fans of these two clubs are deteriorating rapidly over the last few years. It won't be long until the venom and animosity between the two will reach old firm levels I think. Little_Alex 24-02-2006, 08:00 PM I suppose this was South Yorkshire Police's fault as well. Either that or they were Chelsea fans there just to cause trouble like they did at Heysel.....not the salt of the earth scousers  scottishdude 25-02-2006, 10:25 PM Either that or they were Chelsea fans there just to cause trouble like they did at Heysel.....not the salt of the earth scousers  Sut up you Muppet! :loopy: Don_Kiddick 01-03-2006, 08:34 AM They thought it was the bus from Sheffield cos it had been going dee-dar for ages :D Cath 01-03-2006, 11:43 AM Oh dear, and this was starting to look like a half decent forum for an intelligent chat about footie. As a Liverpool fan and Scouser let me state that the attack on the ambulance was a disgrace. I do not condone the actions of these individuals. They are an embarassment to our great club, our city and frankly to the human race. Hope my position on that is clear. You will get good and bad 'uns in every football crowd. Whatever team you suppport you will sadly get the numpties you think they are big and clever for calling someone names or throwing things. And that's before you even start discussing the various organised "firms" for whom football is a very easy way to identify themselves. There was violence at the recent Sheffield derby. There was violence at Stoke v Brum. Check the local press when any grudge match is happening and you'll find the same reports. The media love it. Until football fans can learn to have a beer together before and after games and realise it's just a sport these idiots are winning. Don't get me wrong I love a bit of banter but the stupidity of some of the comments on here helps no one. I'll finish with a quote from Alex Black, Alan Smith's agent which unsuprisingly didn't fit the media's bash football agenda, "He was a little bit delirious as he was coming off but he was able to recognise that not just the Manchester United fans but a lot of the Liverpool fans were giving him a good round of applause." Get well soon Smithy lad. I hope to be abusing you from the Anny Road again next season.;) Guderian 01-03-2006, 11:55 AM Oh dear, and this was starting to look like a half decent forum for an intelligent chat about footie. Just hope he is not wearing a United shirt. scottishdude 01-03-2006, 12:27 PM Can't understand it myself. If it had been an England game it would never have happened. Wait till the World Cup and I can guarantee that in any city in England rival fans will be be cheering on "The Lads" regardless of which Premiership team they play for. Wait till the World Cup and I can guarantee that in any city in England rival fans will be be cheering on "The Lads" regardless of which Premiership team they play for. Not sure about that. Watch Gary Neville at Anfield get stick tonight! And United players have always had a hard time from England fans. Ally68 01-03-2006, 12:42 PM I don't care who scores the winning goal in the world cup final as long as he's English!  trophyman 01-03-2006, 12:43 PM I suppose this was South Yorkshire Police's fault as well. probably. surprised the ambulances had wheels to get it there in the first place Cath 01-03-2006, 12:44 PM Not sure about that. Watch Gary Neville at Anfield get stick tonight! And United players have always had a hard time from England fans. Think Neville will be okay. There won't be too many Liverpool die hards amongst the support tonight I wouldn't have thought. Non London based players ofetn get a hard time from England fans. Shouting "freak" at one of your own side is something I'll never understand. Scottishdude, I'll be flicking between the ROI, Wales and Scots games on Sky hoping one of them turns out to be a decent game to watch. Can't stand Ingurlund. trophyman 01-03-2006, 12:48 PM They thought it was the bus from Sheffield cos it had been going dee-dar for ages :D nice one, very funny!!! AtticusFinch 01-03-2006, 12:49 PM Not sure about that. Watch Gary Neville at Anfield get stick tonight! And United players have always had a hard time from England fans. There won't be many Liverpool fans at Anfield tonight. Many Liverpool-based fans (i.e actual scousers) don't follow England. Guderian 01-03-2006, 12:51 PM There won't be many Liverpool fans at Anfield tonight. Many Liverpool-based fans (i.e actual scousers) don't follow England. Its the same with United. England match going fans are usually from provincial backwaters. Hence the ridiculous "IRA" and "10 German bombers" chants. scottishdude 01-03-2006, 11:38 PM Scotland game was exciting************** If you are Swiss:mad: Good to see Chelsea duo get winner for England. Didn't Crouch and Wright-Philips look comical when they were waiting to come on?:) You are viewing an archive. To view the actual thread click here: Sheffield Forum | |
