My fav. aftershave has gotta be Issey Miyake....
and on a woman.... New west. for those of you who like a nice smell.... whats your fav.? :D
mistyraven 24-02-2006, 04:57 Calvin Klein Eternity is my fav
http://www.directcosmetics.info/prodpics/16180.jpg
makes you smell all....GGGRrr:hihi:
littleboo 24-02-2006, 07:52 Thierry muglers Angel and jean paul Gaultiers Classique
bensonhedges 24-02-2006, 08:27 All time favourite - Gaultier for men followed closely by Caroline Herreras' 212 and Chanel Allure
I used to love dkny but been looking for a new one.ive had a few recently that were ok (hugo boss woman intense..paul smith floral...very irresistable... and emporio armani)but went in boots the other day and sprayed a new hugo boss pure purple which i liked so hoping to get a bottle very soon.i absolutely love perfume and can never have enough.
I like to buy my hubby aftershave a lot too.I love a man to smell yummy
Lacoste for men, and on a lady, Hugo Boss - Yum!
GoGo_dancer 24-02-2006, 11:23 My fav. aftershave has gotta be Issey Miyake....
I loooooove Issey Miyake for men! I buy it for my husband all the time.... the smell of it just gives me butterflies...mmm
Moving on.....my own favourites are Ghost Deep Night and my very sexy bottle of Agent Provocateur (sp?) which I only wear on very special occasions.
I also like Kenzo as that's the perfume I wore on my wedding day.
absynthfairy 24-02-2006, 11:26 Dior Addict 2 at the moment - but my other faves are D&G light blue, Lacoste for women.... my boyf wears hugo boss active and thats lovely...
the-lioness 24-02-2006, 11:36 I love Amore Amore by Cacharel- it is so sexy and sweet and feminine- a mix of wild berries, vanilla musk and caramel- men die for it- everytime i wear it on a night down town- men and women constantly ask me what it is.. and i always keep it a secret!! its not tarty or over the top, just alluring. Other favouriteis this fresh citronella one from body shop and Jasper Conran for women - very summery and fresh- reminds me of my holidays!!
On men it has to be Armani Gold or the classic Aqua Di Gio- sexy, clean and masculine- reminds me of me ex.
StarSparkle 24-02-2006, 11:49 My tastes in perfume keep changing from year to year - I used to adore the original D&G women's perfume, but now it feels far too heavy.
At the moment I'm loving Davidoff Cool Water Woman and Anna Sui Dreams. I'm into fresh and fruity!
Regarding 'smells for blokes' I'm not that keen on aftershave, to be honest - although there is something about Hugo Boss.....
StarSparkle :)
steviewonder 24-02-2006, 11:57 Issey Miyake is a winner, I was gonna post it before but I couldn't spell it!! haha
scaramanga 24-02-2006, 12:01 paco robanne - ultra violet for me :)
Im going to check out this Issey Miyake.... sounds like a good thing! Maybe i should bath in it.
Lucretia_73 24-02-2006, 12:07 Anna Sui in the pink butterfly bottle :) Ralph Lauren Blue. I like fresh and fruity like StarSparkle. Youthful smells.
I was in an airport and one of those crazed women with the testers was trying to spray me with this Prada stuff and I thought it was horrible. My mate laughed at me because he said it's a 'sophisticated' smell and probably is designed for women my age but he knew I'd hate it.
I really liked a sample I got of D&G Woman too but I think it was the Eau De Toilette and I bought the perfume and it's soooo strong it gives me a headache so I can only wear it sparingly and from chest down!
Never sure what aftershave I like on men as it's very dependant on how I feel about the man - if I like them, I tend to like their aftershave. There is some truth to the Lynx effect though. And I don't know whether this harkens back to teenage snogs in nightclubs but there is something about the smell of lager on a man's breath that makes me go all  :loopy:
Disco_Cat 24-02-2006, 12:11 Old Spice all the way.
the_rudeboy 24-02-2006, 12:25 Old Spice all the way.
What..............not Hi Karate? :suspect:
What..............not Hi Karate? :suspect:
And let's not forget the almighty 'Denim'! :gag:
Chanel's 'Coco' can be wonderfully fragrant on the tender flesh of a well-bred lady. I, myself, favour Chanel's 'Egoiste Platinum' Cologne. Its top fragrance notes are of Coriander, Bergamot and Rosewood; its piping, fluting middle notes of Ylang-ylang, Jasmine and Vetiver; and its deep bass notes of Amber, Sandalwood and Cedar. I prefer it to be massaged into my taut, manly neck and broad, muscular chest either by my wife, or if she is unavailable, by my team of 'missee nicetime' Filipino ladies.
Poor, poor Disco Cat with his 'Old Spice' and his cheap, sugared-up supermarket wines. What knoweth he of the lives of the 'Beautiful People'?
Bless him.

'Tender flesh of a well-bred lady'? 'Taut, manly neck'? Have you been quaffing the port already today, Timo? You've shattered my illusion now; 'Egoiste Platinum' Cologne, indeed. I imagined your fragrance to be a heady combination of cigar smoke, leather, musty tweeds and damp foxhound...
wardy2005 24-02-2006, 12:45 mine is diesel red the female one but i do like the diesel red white for men aswell they smell so nice
ppn_2204,
LOL. I just knew that you would respond to that! Either your good self or Starsparkle and Feargal. Well, sorry to disappoint you, but I do not smoke, and own an English Bull Terrier rather than Foxhounds. One does, however, quaff and imbibe Vintage Port, and occasionally don a tweed jacket. As for leather, well aside from the Chesterfield, the substance plays little part in my life. Ignore the cruel rumours to the ends that I spend my recreation in tight lederhosen.
My dopey ex-colleague Darren, of whom stories have appeared on these pages before, used to have a stock of allegedly flattering gambits which he used with the female punters. One of these was to say "Mmm. That's a nice perfume. What's it called?"
On one occasion when he tried this with a young lady, she replied that she couldn't remember the name of it. I emailed him a suggestion (he was sat next to me), and so he asked her, in all naivety, "Is it Insincerity by Givenchy?"
Me and the young lady burst out laughing, as it slowly dawned on Darren :D
FairyNormal 24-02-2006, 15:12 I'm not really a perfume wearer but recently recieved a free sample of Britney Spears 'Fantasy' and I was pretty impressed. It's kind of fruity floral but not too overpowering. Most perfumes either make me sneeze or give me headache and this did neither.
littleboo 24-02-2006, 17:04 Ohhh nearly forgot Paul Smith Extreme. and DNKY apple too
lizelard 24-02-2006, 19:09 My all time fave was K.L. (Karl Largefeld) sadly no longer made BOO HOO
In my assortment at the moment i have
5th avenue
coco
samsara
D&G light blue
littleboo, I completely agree. Angel is my favourite perfume and I shall be wearing it on my wedding day! After all, it must count as something blue?
*Twinkle* 24-02-2006, 19:14 My signature scent is Clinique Happy :D Mmmm delish! I like Gucci Rush for the evening (and HATE it when I smell it on people during the day, its just too strong for the day!)
My holiday scent is Clinique Simply :D
I'm an Angel addict too- I also like O de Lancome, Gucci Envy and Miss Dior.
For men the loveliest smell is just a little touch of Givenchy Gentleman.
StarSparkle 24-02-2006, 19:47 My all time fave was K.L. (Karl Largefeld) sadly no longer made BOO HOO
In my assortment at the moment i have
5th avenue
coco
samsara
D&G light blue
Oh yes, you're right, K.L. was a gorgeous fragrance  - loved it.
I've really tried to make myself like Angel - it looks so beautiful in that lovely bottle, with the little silver star  The only problem is I really can't stand the smell - rather a drawback when wearing perfume :suspect: :D
StarSparkle
emperor_ming 24-02-2006, 19:49 Ladies, dont forget Panache......quality:love:
Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male for me. That's what I wear whenever I'm out and the ladies who smell it say they love it. :D
cloudybay 24-02-2006, 19:59 My favourites are Tova......signature fragrance, Joy by Jean Patou and Coco by Chanel. I once tried Midnight in Clacton but chip fat doesn't do it for me................
Ladies, dont forget Panache......quality:love:
Ugh!.... thats ming-in. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
bjshooter 24-02-2006, 20:13 I have about 20 bottles of perfume, some girls are addicted to shoes I am addicted to perfume. I Love Ralph Lauren Romance, because its new but I also like:

Yellowrose 24-02-2006, 21:45 paco robanne - ultra violet for me :)
Im going to check out this Issey Miyake.... sounds like a good thing! Maybe i should bath in it.
Got a funny story about paco rabanne ultra violet. As you may know they do it for men and women, well my bloke treated himself when we were on the ferry, came back, used it, liked it, I wasnt convinced. He wore it one day at work and another bloke said "you smell nice - I could almost s@@@ you myself!". We had a laugh. Then a couple of weeks later, we discovered he had bought the womens version!!! He still used it until it was finished, but I didnt like it.
For myself I like Flower by Kenzo. For men, something subtle and understated like clinique happy.
EdnaKrabappe 25-02-2006, 02:13 Massive fragrance addict.
I match perfume to my mood but confess to having over twenty bottles.
Favourites are:
Angel (Thiery Mugler)- this always gets compliments.
White Linen( Estee Lauder) - heavy but lovely if you apply lightly.
Private collection (Estee lauder) ditto
Wrappings (Discontinued Clinque fragrance that you can now only get at Harrods) - smells vile for first top note twenty mins then gorgeous
Elle (Armani) my daytime fragrance
Karma (Lush) a very lushious smell.
Amarito (Body Shop) - lovely chocolately smell
Flowers -(kenzo)I love violets.
Dirt - (Demeter.) Still one of the most unique smells around. you either love or hate.
Tomato (Demeter) DKNY not quite the same.
I'm quite sad with favourite smell on a man. I like a man to smell of licorice or Quorum. (£about £8 a bottle!)
sheff_minx 25-02-2006, 02:34 I love Spicy Delight from the "Belles de Ricci" collection by Nina Ricci - now sadly only available online or (as I discovered on a recent trip to London) in Harrods Parfumerie :)
Also like "Ralph" by Ralph Lauren; Angel by Thiery Mugler; Davidoff Cool Water for Women and the original DKNY Woman :)
On my boyfriend I like Boss by Hugo Boss and the limited edition Boss in Motion Green that they had out last year in the green ball :D
This has been done before (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7796&highlight=perfume)
I like a few but at moment its Ralph Lauren 'Romance' which is really nice altho the scent doesnt last that long but you do get free choclates when u buy it and its cheaper than what normally use :D. Nomally wear Jean Paul Gaultier 'classique' but only in the eau de parfum as it lasts for ages but ive none left of that one at moment :( Always liked calvin klein 'eternity' on men.

I have all three of them, I got Romance for valantines day and wondered why he had bought me two big boxes of choclates, now I know, I just asked him and he has a funny smirk on his face.:hihi:

Moonbird 26-02-2006, 00:45 There is some truth to the Lynx effect though. And I don't know whether this harkens back to teenage snogs in nightclubs but there is something about the smell of lager on a man's breath that makes me go all  :loopy:
OMG thats scarey me to:hihi:
For me:
Higher or Higher Energy by Dior
Homme - JPG
On a lass:
J'adore - Dior
Happy Heart - Clinique
HappyHoosier 26-02-2006, 01:26 Here's something to think about: use one squirt of perfume only. Just because your nose gets immune to the smell after a few minutes, doesn't mean that the poor buggers who have to sit next to you don't get a blast of 'Dune' every time you come back from the buffet car.
Got to agree, ppn_2204... Lots of folks lay the scent on hot and heavy these days. Perfumes with spice and musk give me an almost instant migraine.
My all-time favorite is a light, flowery classic: Coty's Muguet des Bois. Smells exactly like lillies of the valley after a gentle spring rain.
johnbradley 26-02-2006, 01:45 adidas 'urban spice' - classy:hihi:
seriously tho, got it last year for chrimbo, its a good un.
and it didnt cost me 30-odd quid either!
...Perfumes with spice and musk give me an almost instant migraine....
I can relate to this, although strong perfume usually sets me off wheezing. Poison does it every time.
OMG thats scarey me to:hihi:
I've heard this before from a couple of other people. How odd. :suspect:
For me its Calvin Klein Contradiction, i also like issy myacke (for women)! For the fella its gotta be Hugo Boss - Boss! Bloody gorgeous!
Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male for me. That's what I wear whenever I'm out and the ladies who smell it say they love it. :D
I agree, also it's a lot nicer than Gaultier 2 which smells like cat pee
'Blue Stratos'...perhaps a splash of 'Denim'...then a smidgeon of 'Old Spice'
Any 'Tweed' wearers out there?:hihi:

I wear Clinique Simply on holiday though :P
Swan_Vesta 24-04-2006, 16:06 Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male.
I grant you it has possibly the most rampantly camp bottle in the world but it smells gorgeous.
I only wear aftershave on nights out etc the rest of the time it's a reet good wash and deodorant, I can't stand being around people who wear aftershave all the time - It beomes a pervasive entity of its own which serves only to make me gag because they've slapped so much of the damn stuff on.
*Twinkle* 24-04-2006, 16:12 I'm also loving Gucci Rush 2... I shall have to treat myself to a bottle :D
funkymiss 24-04-2006, 16:15 I like joop on blokes- mmm, so sweet!

*Twinkle* 24-04-2006, 16:21 Ooooh yeah u just reminded me, my other fave perfume has got to be Gucci Rush, its a scent that stays with u all day if u get my meaning.

Same here with issey miyake for men, but its such a gorgeous scent i just have to put it to the back of my mind. It doesn't help my step dad wears it.
Its me who pinches my moms perfume, but since santa was good to me this year i dont need to:hihi:
Everytime i go out and wear paul smith.. It seems to smell like cocunuts.. Girls seems to ask if im wearing cocunut oil, bleedin women!

*Twinkle* 24-04-2006, 16:32 Everytime i go out and wear paul smith.. It seems to smell like cocunuts.. Girls seems to ask if im wearing cocunut oil, bleedin women!

*giggles*
Umm yeah... I see what you mean about the coconut smell... Its nice though, reminds me of holidays/summer etc... :P
Clinique... Yes, I approve... His and Hers :hihi:
lizzmobile 24-04-2006, 16:53 Clinique Happy is just divine, as is their classic fragrance Elixir. I also like Hermès by Hermès (the chicest perfume on the planet), Cabotine by Grès, and Fuiji by Guy Laroche (if they still make it; reminds me of my holiday on Malta in 1983. Also Chanel Cristalle is lovely for summer and No 19 too.
My all time, all time fave is Chanel No 5, but in true Marilyn style, it's only for bed :o
At the moment I'm wearing a heady mix of jasmine and ylang oils, with the occasional dab of rose oil thrown in for good measure, if it's sunny. It floats up nicely from my cleavage then I get to smell it too.
On a man I like Dunhill, Grey Flannel, and Paco Rabanne XS.
Must say though, after years of not wearing anything (due to being pregnant and/or breastfeeding) I find the slightest hint of commercial fragrance very overpowering indeed, however delightful it might be. I sprayed a weeny squirt of Cabotine by Grès onto the back of my hand the other day to see if it was still OK, and I had to wash it off, it made me feel sick, and it hadn't even turned.
And how they transport you back in time when you grab a whiff of one from your past ... very powerful olfactory memories.

I'm thinking of giving DKNY Be Delicious a try once my current bottle of Truth runs out though.
On men I love Jean Paul Gautier and Dunhill..... Mmm Mmmmmm!!! Absolutely yummy! I do like it when a man smells good. Although often, just the smell of man is enough for me :D
MovingOn 25-04-2006, 08:50 I wear Calvin Klein Contradiction more often than not, mainly because it's what I am. I also like the classics Chanel No 5 and Coco although Poison was a definite favourite for a while.

i cant see it properly :)
Think it might be summat to do with him bein scouse or summat?
I don't wear any, as a rule. Many tend to smell chemically and fake. I have been known to wear vanilla oil, and I have a gorgeous rich shower gel and body moisturiser which also smells of vanilla (though they claim it's Creme Brulee). I probably smell like icecream...
Then again, with the joys of the occasional early morning and late night train commute, I probably end up smelling of about sixteen different types of perfume all at once due to all the diffusion from my fellow travellers. Why do some women have to drench themselves in it?
Aftershave is just wrong.
weenireeni 25-04-2006, 15:58 ive just bought gucci envy me as ive run out of perfume :( before that i wore anything by anna sui, i love her range, and the packaging! thats normally what attracts me first!:)

StarSparkle 25-04-2006, 16:05 ive just bought gucci envy me as ive run out of perfume :( before that i wore anything by anna sui, i love her range, and the packaging! thats normally what attracts me first!:)
Mmm, I love Anna Sui's "Sweet Dreams" - fantastic packaging, but the scent is heavenly too!
But mainly I'm wearing Davidoff's "Cool Water Woman" at the minute.
I find I have to wear light, 'clean' fragrances nowadays - I used to love the original D&G perfume, but it's way too heavy for me now.
StarSparkle
i cant see it properly :)
You only need to see my hat to be fair!
Pretty sure it's unique in Sheffield.
Already been recognised by another forummer because of it.

aphradizzyak 25-04-2006, 16:07 I wear Issay Miyake, Clinique Happy or Hugo.
I smell goooood!!!
:D
an ex boyf of mine used to wear happy...i used to stael his jumpers so that i could always smell it....the starnge thing is when i smell other people that smell of it im instantly attracted to them...and i think that that is a bit strange...smell is really important in a relationship..but i think that it should be natural smell that you remember...not bottled...coz then you end up being attracted to any old happy smelling tramp! not good!
its all about the issey mayake...the male version is absolutley divine...i have been known to follow a bloke the whole way down ecclesall rd just coz hes smelt so bloody great. uuuuum
Now that's gotta be worth £20+ of anyones money!!

sufc_tom 25-04-2006, 18:34 My favourite is Ultraviolet by Pacco Robane. Runner ups go to Baby blue for men by Versace i think and finally Dolce and Gobanna dunno the name its a black cylinder bottle though.
I wear anything from eternity to boss to jean paul gauliter also D&C even some avon but it as got to be percieve oh and if it was still produced blue blazor by avon one of the best aftershaves I have ever used. but also it depends on what mood I am in my girlfriend as found out that some of my aftershaves is a warning sign to keep out of my way if things have gone wrong, as she says to our kids keep out of your dads way he his wearing one of the other aftershaves which is dont say a word to him. but i dont wear them aftershaves all that much the only time that I do wear them is when the mother in law pays us a visit, which just a lately is now every weekend.
i tend towear one until i've used it up, then change. currently on ck euphoria but coming to the end of bottle...

For every day, I wear one of my all-time faves cheap-as-chips (these days, at least) Benetton Colours and save the more expensive ones (none of which I bought myself ;)) Clinique Happy, Clinique Happy To Be, Paul Smith Woman, Paul Smith Extreme, Clinique Aromatics, or Tommy Girl for going out and stuff. I'm also liking the new Clinique Happy To Be ... In Bloom, and I've put out the word for my birthday :hihi:
shells2909 25-04-2006, 23:19 I'm also liking the new Clinique Happy To Be ... In Bloom, and I've put out the word for my birthday
I agree the new clinique is really nice and i'll be purchasing when pay day finally gets here lol. For everyday wear i usually use Lacoste Pink, Clinique happy to be or Davidoff Cool Waters
Nightime my fave at the minute is DKNY - Be delicious!! mmmmm!!
Celestial 21-08-2007, 20:19 Not to keen on that 'Angel' one!:gag:
melthebell 21-08-2007, 20:20 i dont have one

My fav. aftershave has gotta be Issey Miyake....

Opium aftershave for me and opium perfume for my lady wife
EdnaKrabappe 21-08-2007, 20:36 Emporio Armani (RED) pour elle (http://www.perfumestories.net/2007/07/emporio-armani-.html)
Wow smelt these ones today and can't stop sniffing myself! The men's one is divine! I've got a bit of out it with men's scents but this one is lovely. Will have to splurge next month me thinks!
Still like all the same as before i'd add to it Licorice perfume by Demeter!:love::love:
Perfume has to be what the missus wears . I really should pay more attention . Sorry dear :( I think it's Obsession .. Fav aftershave is Kouros :)
EdnaKrabappe 21-08-2007, 20:44 Perfume has to be what the missus wears . I really should pay more attention . Sorry dear :( I think it's Obsession .. Fav aftershave is Kouros :)
Sorry no offence to your good self but Kouros makes me feel nauseous:gag: I used to work with someone who reapplied it several times a day. You could smell him coming!

I feel the same about that John paul Gaultier stuff . I hate the smell of it . It was all my mate ever wore . Day in day out .
No offense taken :)
paco robanne - ultra violet for me :)
Im going to check out this Issey Miyake.... sounds like a good thing! Maybe i should bath in it.
ultra violet is the best, i agree 100%
HappyHoosier 21-08-2007, 21:05 I imagined your fragrance to be a heady combination of cigar smoke, leather, musty tweeds and damp foxhound...
Yes, yes! That's the one I wear!
Actually, I don't wear cologne much because it gives me a ripping headache. When I do, I prefer delicate, single-floral fragrances-- lavender, rose, violet, gardenia or, my very favorite, lily of the valley-scented Muguet des Bois by Coty.
sTaGeWaLkEr 21-08-2007, 22:41 I usually wear Armani, Gucci or Paul Smith.
D&G light blue for a woman, or Clinique aromatics.
boutiquechoc 21-08-2007, 23:29 All time favourite - Gaultier for men followed closely by Caroline Herreras' 212 and Chanel Allure
Someone got here before me!!!!
212 and allure for women are sooo nice!!

Lindseyw 21-08-2007, 23:33 Angel - hate it, makes me sneeze and feel sick
cressida 21-08-2007, 23:35 At the moment AGENT PROVOCATEUR, although my all-time favourite is Chanel No.5
I had some Chanel bought for me for Christmas but I had to take it back to the shop.
My favourite is Beautiful.
This thread is a bit of a meander down amnesia lane. Where's Timo? I miss him.
Anyhow, I still maintain that a man smells wonderful when he smells clean; of shampoo and soap. There's something not quite right about an overly-perfumed bloke.
My own taste is for Philosophy's 'Baby Grace' (which smells vaguely of talcum powder), and I agree with EdnaK that Demeter's 'Licorice' is divine.
actionman 22-08-2007, 00:49 i wear eternity for men.
donuticus 22-08-2007, 00:57 Issey Miyake
'Blue Stratos'...perhaps a splash of 'Denim'...then a smidgeon of 'Old Spice'
Any 'Tweed' wearers out there?:hihi:
Oh Gawd, now you've sent my poor 'ickle brain cell spiralling back to the 70s and I simply cannot remember the name of the perfume I wore. It was orangey and spicy and came in bottle with a brown top with apples(?) or something embossed on it?
boutiquechoc 22-08-2007, 08:30 Don't they wee on it? :gag:
I forgot to mention, Joop makes me feel ill.
lol I don;t think they do. or at least I hope they don;t otherwise I will have to retract that statement....I have seen my friends cat on it, it once knocked a box of it off a table and proceeded to roll about on the floor and lay about in it for ages, purring like crazy.
Channel 5 is still my favorite
My Favourite is Beautiful, but I also love Chanel Chance.
boutiquechoc 24-08-2007, 23:13 Someone got here before me!!!!
212 and allure for women are sooo nice!!

dynamicdebz 16-10-2007, 22:43 I love & wear Angel.
To say I haqven't heard it mentioned on this thread, I have a lot of people come up to me & say "are you wearing Angel" so it must be popular.
Before discovering Angel I wore Paris, still like the parma violet type smell.
hagardriley 17-10-2007, 00:32 [QUOTE What is your favourite perfume/aftershave?[/QUOTE]
I only use Tsar and Obession for Men. For women I cannot resist the absolutely gorgeous smell of Poison, it just has an amazing effect on me.
I love Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue for ladies. It has to be my all time favourite. I can smell it a mile off on other people and it just stands out a mile.
On men I like Calvin Klein Eternity.
briggy1967 17-10-2007, 14:58 Jean Paul Gaultier everytime
pleathwood 17-10-2007, 15:31 Paco Rabanne - Ultraviolet (for men)
It's my all time favourite, I've got so many others that I never wear :( last christmas I asked for 2 bottles of it 1 from my sis and 1 from my mum. I still only got one because my mum thought I'd asked em both by mistake and made my sis get something else, they shall not be making the same mistake this year!
frostiekazza 17-10-2007, 15:38 Chanel Chance for me , i always have people commenting on how nice i smell when im wearing it, even total strangers sometimes ask what perfume it is !!
the-lioness 17-10-2007, 15:51 for me its got to be the new Gwen Stephani one at the moment- its seriously clean and fresh! id reccomend it if you like to feel fresh rather than heavily overdone by a perfume
blondie-blue 17-10-2007, 16:02 I'm usually wearing Miss Dior Cherie or Babydoll by YSL but i love D&G light blue it's lovely and fresh smelling.
For men i Just love Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme .... GORGEOUS
FlowerdUp89 17-10-2007, 16:05 It's between Lacoste: Chavtastic
Joke. It's between Lacoste: Essentials
Or Isimiyaki (I can't spell that for cookies!)
I want to buy a new perfume next month. Has anyone tried Midnight Poison? I love Hypnotic Poison but I haven't been able to find Midnight Poison yet.
I LOVE Poison, it's my favourite and I also really like Pure and Hypnotic Poison but I tried Midnight last week and I think it's awful. Smells like Olbas Oil!
My other favourites are, Eternity, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Obsession, Uphoria and Juicy Couture.
okka north 17-10-2007, 20:53 Opium - it's the only one I have used for a few years now
I LOVE Poison, it's my favourite and I also really like Pure and Hypnotic Poison but I tried Midnight last week and I think it's awful. Smells like Olbas Oil!

Oh no! I had such high hopes for it. Especially with the delightful Eva Green in the advert. Although I do quite like the smell of Olbas Oil.
StarSparkle 18-10-2007, 21:49 My current favourites are Clinique "Happy" and DKNY "Red Apple", although "Green Apple" is gorgeously fresh-smelling as well. Anna Sui's "Sweet Dreams" is lovely too.
I seem to have gone off some of the heavier perfumes I used to like, for some reason, like Dolce & Gabbana's original. I used to love that, but find it overwhelming now.
I've tried and tried again to like "Angel" as it looks so beautiful - both the colour and the bottle are divine - but it just does absolutely nothing for me!
StarSparkle
and guys, whats your favourite aftershave, and just to complicate things more ladies whats your fave aftershave n guys whats your fave perfume?
BasilRathbon 24-10-2007, 09:48 I use a bodyrub called Halitosis for men. It's a bit whiffy, but at least it keeps the ladies away!
fabulous_girl 24-10-2007, 09:50 Hummmm, I dont have a fave perfume, but it is my aim to find one so i can ask for it for xmas! I do like that Alien one- i think its Thierry Mugler? No, thats not his name....oh i dont know.....gooooooggle. Ooh I'm right! I seem to be cursed with perfume. My Chanel Chance leaked when I left the lid off (twice) in my bag, and my davidoff fell down the loo and smashed! I'm loathe to buy it myself because of this
cressida 24-10-2007, 10:07 Chanel No.5

Don_Kiddick 24-10-2007, 11:08 Axilla for men is popular where I work
Hypnotic Poison. I want to find a new favourite though. I might try the Chanel range in fragrances.
coltsevers 24-10-2007, 11:23 Chanel Allure Sport Por Homme.
Baby Grace by Philosophy is very nice indeed.
Most perfumes make me wheeze though, especially when they're applied by the bucketful. The very intense ones like the original Poison are notorious for setting off the asthma.
Subtlety is the key, as is remembering that even though your nose has become insensitive to the perfume you're wearing, those around you might be choking on it.
There's a huge thread here (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=92345) on this subject, by the way.
All time faves... Yohji by Yohji Yamamoto - Discontinued
By Woman by D&G - recently discontinued
New faves.....Diamonds by Armani
Rock n Rose by Valentino
Also love......Angel by Tierry Mugler
Gio by Armani
Sensi by Armani
Aftershave Pi by Givenchy
Jon Paul Gaultier original.
fabulous_girl 24-10-2007, 11:46 i once borrowed my mums Obsession. My boyfriend liked it far too much and started calling whispering "oh, oh maria" in my ear. Never again, I do NOT want my boyfriend to think of my mum when he smells me
StarSparkle 24-10-2007, 12:33 i once borrowed my mums Obsession. My boyfriend liked it far too much and started calling whispering "oh, oh maria" in my ear. Never again, I do NOT want my boyfriend to think of my mum when he smells me
"Obsession" is a fabulous perfume - (but) it's very potent! Be careful where/when you wear it :)

Chance and Coco Mademoiselle (both Chanel) and Deep Red by Hugo Boss. Love all three.
BasilRathbon 24-10-2007, 16:49 I actually think the thread title could have been better-phrased. Instead of "Ladies, whats your favourite perfume?" it should have been "Ladies, what do you put behind your ears to attract men?"
barbiegirl80 24-10-2007, 19:05 I just love Far Away from the Avon - is cheap as chips but smells divine! :)
Angel -Thierry Mugler

ShinyPurple 24-10-2007, 19:17 I actually think the thread title could have been better-phrased. Instead of "Ladies, whats your favourite perfume?" it should have been "Ladies, what do you put behind your ears to attract men?"

Would that be Calcaneus By Achilles?
I love Lolita Lempicka, i have never seen it anywhere to buy (except the internet) but was given a free sample when i was in France about 7 years ago and loved it, and when i brought my GHD's online i got some free samples with them and Lolita Lempicka was one, so i got the boyfriend to buy me a big bottle for my birthday. My all time favourite is Chanel 'Chance'
Our neighbour on holiday had just bought a bottle of this (damn expensive isn't it!?) and she was passing it over to me to smell ..... and , dropped it. :(:o
