capstan 10-08-2010, 20:39 Millions................................ natalie H 10-08-2010, 20:47 I like so many. Flowerbomb and Alien I wear at the moment. I also like Chanel Chance, DKNY be delicious, CK in2u, Miss Dior Cherie and Jean Paul Gautier :love::love::love: GrooveArmada 15-08-2010, 01:05 Hugo boss baldersarini, Hugo boss BOSS, Hugo boss Energise, Hugo boss New one forgot it's name medusa 15-08-2010, 01:39 Today's favourite was Miss Balmain :) Fiondi 15-08-2010, 04:18 Coolwater Woman - Davidoff  EdnaKrabappe 15-08-2010, 04:19 Massive fragrance addict. I match perfume to my mood but confess to having over twenty bottles. Favourites are: Angel (Thiery Mugler)- this always gets compliments. White Linen( Estee Lauder) - heavy but lovely if you apply lightly. Private collection (Estee lauder) ditto Wrappings (Discontinued Clinque fragrance that you can now only get at Harrods) - smells vile for first top note twenty mins then gorgeous Elle (Armani) my daytime fragrance Karma (Lush) a very lushious smell. Amarito (Body Shop) - lovely chocolately smell Flowers -(kenzo)I love violets. Dirt - (Demeter.) Still one of the most unique smells around. you either love or hate. Tomato (Demeter) DKNY not quite the same. I'm quite sad with favourite smell on a man. I like a man to smell of licorice or Quorum. (£about £8 a bottle!) I wear perfume according to my mood. Favs are: Angel Thierry Mugler Angel Violet Garden of Flowers Thierry Mugler Kenzo Flowers DKNY Lush Karma Body Shop Beleaf, Altaro and Velique mixed Body Shop Amarito Clinique Wrappings Clinque Aromatics Barefoot Doctor Damn Sexy Mix Estee Lauder White Linen Demeter Tomato, Leather or Dirt. Chanel No 5 But I've got loads... perfume addict here. I'm pretty much the same on this... haven't worn some of them for a while. Angel, White Linen and Kenzo Flower are the stay fasts. i'd forgotten about the Barefoot Doctor one as well, used up a few years ago and couldn't replace but just remembering its smell now. Not worn Elle for a while... Licorice Demeter was added to the mix about two years ago but once I'd used my bottle up, couldn't get any more as it's not imported to the UK:mad: Even contacted Demeter but the cost of importing is more than the perfume so waiting for a mate to go to USA to buy me some. I read an industry perfume book at my friend's house last year and found that my taste in perfume is fairly "highbrow" and lots of the ones I like/own are considered classics by perfumiers. It told me about Lolita Lempicka (someone has previously mentioned it on the thread) and i knew i was probably going to like it. Having ordered some of the internet I can tell you, it's a resounding yes. Very potent stuff - not dissimilar to Angel but with less chocolate and more violet and licorice notes. One to be worn sparingly. Bigging up the new Gorilla perfumes at Lush:love: which I invested in two of today and a sample set. I got Tuca Tuca, which changes so much.. will definitely be a long night perfume to wear and the Smell of Freedom which is quite a complex blend. Tried the others and Imogen Rose is amazing! Can't stop sniffing the area of me that I sprayed it on. The only one I didn't like was Lust as it was soooo in your face. Will have to use that as a blend i think. medusa 15-08-2010, 10:47 I'm pretty much the same on this... haven't worn some of them for a while. I'm a Lolita Lempicka fan too- but then again these days I've got approaching 100 perfumes so having 2 Lolita Lempicka scents is not that amazing. I'm doing a smelly tour of the history of scents at the moment, so I have a bottle of Farina Gegenüber's Kölnisch Wasser which was first made in 1714, Jicky by Guerlain which was launched in 1889 and I'm gradually following through the development of Jean Carles (Tabu, Miss Dior, Ma Griffe etc) and Aimé Guerlain and a couple of others as perfumiers. There's only one problem with this hobby- it's blimmin' expensive! denlin 15-08-2010, 10:55 Blue grass by Elizabeth Arden - can still be bought in TJ Hughes at very reasonable price:D EdnaKrabappe 15-08-2010, 10:57 I'm a Lolita Lempicka fan too- but then again these days I've got approaching 100 perfumes so having 2 Lolita Lempicka scents is not that amazing. Have a bottle of Miss Dior but it's a very confident day that I wear that on! frank ryan 15-08-2010, 11:03 davidoff cool water and bulgari black medusa 15-08-2010, 11:10 I imagine so. I'm not familar with the first one Medusa, what are the notes? Miss Dior, Ma Griffe - classics! Have a bottle of Miss Dior but it's a very confident day that I wear that on! Tabu is an oriental/animalic scent, with heavy civet, incense and patchouli underpinning the rose and jasmine top notes. Lots of people dislike it and think that it smells rather of unwashed bodies, but I have lots of compliments when wearing it and it smells very warm and comforting to me. My nephew and niece really like it and snuggle up to it when I'm wearing it too. Can I recommend that you have a read up on http://www.basenotes.net/content/. Basenotes is a perfume community which has a really extensive directory which is added to by thousands of members on a daily basis and is a really handy guide for anyone thinking of exploring the world of scent. My all time favourite is Dior Homme but at the moment I'm loving Gucci by Gucci pour homme. If you're looking for something more affordable, Patrick Dempey Unscripted by Avon is very good too. denlin 03-03-2011, 17:47 Blue grass by Elizabeth Arden, available at good price in TJ Hughes should anyone want to buy me some:hihi::hihi: shaznay 03-03-2011, 18:07 at the moment I have j'dore.....dior eternity...calvin klein issey miyake ........issey miyake  Smack Jack 03-03-2011, 18:16 Polo Sport or Hugo Boss (the classic one) for me. Yep, it's called anosmia, it affects any smell that your brain considers 'standard' over a long period of time and it's a good reason to wear different perfumes each day and circulate your choices. There's one perfume which I wore as my signature scent for a few years which I just can't smell any more, even if I actually sniff the bottle. It's a great shame because I really loved the smell when I could smell it and others tell me that it smells great on me, but I wear perfume for myself as well as others, so I don't want to get to that state with other scents that I love. pattricia 07-03-2011, 22:27 Yep, it's called anosmia, it affects any smell that your brain considers 'standard' over a long period of time and it's a good reason to wear different perfumes each day and circulate your choices. Its strange because I can smell perfume on the testers in shops, but not if I buy it. medusa 07-03-2011, 22:29 Today's scent of the day is Cerruti 1881 BTW, and tomorrow I think I'll wear Mitsouko by Guerlain. I've just bagged a cheapie bottle of Magie by Lancôme, so that will have to be tried for a few days after it arrives :) medusa 07-03-2011, 22:31 Its strange because I can smell perfume on the testers in shops, but not if I buy it. If that's happening then it could be something in your skin that makes the scent fade quickly, so have you thought about spraying your clothes or your hair rather than your skin? pattricia 07-03-2011, 22:34 If that's happening then it could be something in your skin that makes the scent fade quickly, so have you thought about spraying your clothes or your hair rather than your skin? Never thought of spraying my clothes or hair. I will try that, otherwise I will have these bottles of perfume going unused for years. I even wondered if they made the perfume in tester bottles stronger than the perfume they sell. charlie9865 29-03-2011, 19:13 peter andre unconditional :) mmmm girlyblonde 29-03-2011, 23:28 Mine is D&G Red,, and on a fella its got to be Joop,, YUMMY,,,,, julado 29-03-2011, 23:40 At the moment I am hooked on Avon's Mesmerize...yes it is a man's fragrance....I don't really do girly smells - but alas just found out Mesmerize has been discontinued :( Bethsmummy 29-03-2011, 23:42 I wear Christian Dior Ja'dore And if your a man and want my affections just splash on a bit of Hugo Boss Dark Blue Its a like a moth to a flame for me. The stuff that most people remember bringing back from Spain is Maja, which was the one with black packaging with a flamenco dancer on the front. Never really rated the perfume for that, but the soaps from the range are lovely quality- hard to get these days though. I've just bought another bottle of Ma Griffe actually- as with many of my other perfumes I pick up bargains on eBay and similar places, so it's cost me not a lot. It's to go in my gym bag as I've used the last of my scent from there and I like something that's not very concentrated and inoffensive smelling to use after showering at the gym. Rupert_Baehr 19-04-2011, 10:07 It's so long since I last used aftershave or colognes that I can't even remember the names of the brands I liked. ('Splash it on, Enery doesn't count.)
