View Full Version : Is everything as groovy with you as it is with me?
Swan_Vesta 23-02-2006, 19:44 First of all, I hope that the title of this thread doesn't sound boastfull. Really I don't. It's just that I have no other way to put it. After many years of sh*t and aggrovation I can happily put finger to keyboard and explain how bloody good my life is!
1. I have a wonderful lass who loves me and I love her
2. I have a great job which i find challenging and highly enjoyable
3. I have very little debt
4. My family are all in good health
5. I have a lovely house (albeit rented but it'll do for now).
6. I have great friends who are supportive, excellent and truly hoopy people.
You see the way I see it, a lot of people, including me, spend a great deal of time on this forum spelling out how crappy life is and not enough rejoicing in all of the good things which touch our lives.
Come together people of Sheffield, share your good moments as opposed to all of the bad bits.

I'm doing really well at university, I've been getting high 2:1's for my first semester's assessments which I'm really pleased with :D
I've started a new part-time job as a home carer, which is really rewarding and I feel good about myself and part of the community which I hadn't felt before really. I'm depended upon and people look forward to seeing me, asking about my university life etc... Its lovely :D
I've my own student digs and a new car :) Hard work and sacrifice pays off you see :P Loving my independence, doing what I want when I want to do it :D
My social life is A-OK :D I'm always off out with my mates, have developed quite a liking for getting dolled up and painting the town red... My confidence has really increased and I'm not afraid to talk to guys I like the look of... (Previously a big thing for me... eek!)
Got a holiday to Greece to look forward to :D Anyone who knows just a jot about me will know that a holiday is the way to the pink princess' heart  So me and my best mate are off living it up in Zante

im going to read a magazine on the loo, and do a really satisfying dump.
things are brilliant, yes:thumbsup:
BrainThrust 25-02-2006, 15:22 While I may not be as conventionally happy (as in the financial side) as most people are putting here. I'm actually really happy because probably for the first time ever I'm 99% comfortable with myself and who I am. Maybe you have an identity crisis sometimes but I moved to uni, took a long look at myself and managed to get soem definition of myself. Maybe this is more comfort than happiness but it works for me.
