Not really. I've been on here a lot longer than you, and I can remember when the quality of topics discussed was a lot more high brow than it is now. The forum has very much 'dumbed down' IMO.

Perhaps the mods could address this then - split the General Chit into 2 sections - dumbed down pointless trash, and intellectual debate/discussion. Both have their place, but they should maybe be kept separate.
