Hi all
Just wondered- any campsites that aren't too rural and quiet, within 2 hour drive of Sheffield at max?
Looking for one that has a playground, bar/pub, electric hookup, showers, shop...preferably entertainment. But if it doesn't have that then just somewhere that is near to places we can go out to with 2 young kids and not be bored stiff? Thanks
Not sure if it ticks all your boxes, but Edale's reachable in about an hour, as is Bakewell, plenty of Pubs out there and shops.

Erm, there's millions. I would move this to the camping section to get more of a response.

Smeatons Lakes just outside Newark - not cheapest but very nice. But in 2 hours you could get to Brid or Chapel St Leonards

Alternatively you could sit in the coalhouse with toothache, it may be preferable to the two places mentioned.

Excuse me your highness - Bridlington is very nice thank you, we had week there last year and are going again in May, There's loads to see and do. Sewerby Hall and Gardens with small zoo, Flamborough Lighthouse, Bempton cliffs (best viewed from Yorkshire Belle) and Burton Agnes and Burton Constable Halls to name but few
