You probably need to try Pin-Up club on Friday's at the Fez and if your up for Jackin Underground style house then check this

well there is thepinupclub fridays at the fez club, there is house party at takapuna, think thats once a month, there is layed at republic on tuesdays, Scuba, and i think there is now one at zero

the official line is the refurb was gonna cost too much. the unofficial line is the place was a huge sieve for the 18months.

hiya mate, i used to run a funky house and trance night down at hallam union. Funky house on mondays and trance on thursdays but they wouldnt help with promotion and no one knew about it so the bar only ever got half full. They let us go this monday because the bar wasnt getting busy enough!! Im going to get a night up and running in a couple of weeks again and im chatting to a few bar managers at the minute with a view to getting a new night started. Prob do a night where funky house builds up into build up trance and then end with an hour of classic trance and newer stuff. Would you come to that if i get it started. Trance music has died off in sheffield and i don't wana run a night that flops again. Im still pondering whether to move to london because the trance scene is massive down there at the minute. Would you be able to fetch a good crowd of mates with you and make it popular?? Same to anyone else who reads this really. Anyone who likes this kind of music and would def come to the night, let me know and then i can see whether it would attract a good crowd!! Dan T.

yeah i'd defo be there if it was a weekend. Harder during the week but i'm that sick of urban beats and all that rubbish that i'd probally risk a ****e day of work for a decent set of tunes! Why has trance music died, i was worried that i must be getting old if the music i like is old and out of fashion!:confused:

sheffield used to be the best place for trance because of gatecrasher but the cheese has slowly creeped in and now any nights that arent like that tend to be hip hop and rnb. I like every kind of music but theres hardly any decent dance nights left. Only the long running ones like headcharge and planet zogg can keep running because theyve built up a good fanbase over the years.I wish gatecrasher was once a month. It went from being every saturday to stopping completely. Its daft. Youre not getting old. Iv never stopped liking good trance music, its just harder to find these days in sheffield. Hard trance is massive in london at the minute. It didnt take off there like everywhere else when it first became big and not just underground, but now they cant get enough of it down there!!! Monday nights are good in club zero. One of my mates runs a night there called energy. I know you said its hard to get out in the week but if you ever get the chance to, ud enjoy it. Its proper trance music. Builds up from classic stuff to brand new banging hard trance!!!
