I have seen a property I really like in this area and I was wanting peoples opinion on this area?

I have driven around it at all times of day and night and it seems ok, the houses around it all look well kept but just want to make sure it is ok. Like all places I know it will have a few bad points but where hasn't nowadays!!!

Use cation basically, they aren't great areas, but not it all depends on where exactly.

We need more info!

Hi Debilde23
I have lived in Longley for almost 20 years in the same house and I love it here.
I feel that I live in a good part of Longley if that makes any sense as it is devided in Good, bad and the damn right very bad.
I live near the church which is not the part of Longley where you are on about.
Your area may come under Southey although your near the park.
Knowing the area as I do then if I rate patches of Longley 1 to 5.
Obviously where I live is 5. ( exellent )
Southey hall Drive I would rate as 3 but closer to 4.
Now if you where to walk up the steep genel then that rating would drop to a 2 which is Southey hall Rd.
However, you must consider the house itself, its condition and check out the neighbours which makes sense.
Look at the conditions of the gardens which tells you a lot about the people who live there.
I would say go for it, but be cautious there are a few better parts and some are a lot worse.
Hope that helps.

I live just at the top of the park on Elm Lane and find that because of living on the main road it's pretty decent. Although our homes are open to the elements being on top of the hill with just the park in front, our houses have become a little weathered looking but work is to be started on our Street next month. The major brunt we have here is the parking as we only have the minutest of parking bays which is to be also changed.

I think it depends just whereabouts on Southey Hall Drive you're going to be. More near the park I'd say is better.

Hi

I live in Longley also near the church on the corner and the park, I've been here for 2 years in this area and I think it's great.
I haven't had any problems at all. My neighbours are really nice. You get the one or two odd person who are just annoying but you will get that in any area, just ignore them.

;-)

Good look with the house.

Thanks for your replies, keep them coming. I have put an offer in on the house as I fell in love with it when I was shown around. I have talked to a few neighbours who seem decent folks and I have driven around again at various times and it always seems really quiet.
