In my new house which I am yet to move in to (needed a lot of work doing), I can't seem to see a TV arial on the roof or in the loft.

Strange thing is, in the living room there are two TV arial wires (the brown cables) coming from under the floorboards. Luckily, it's where I'd want to put my TV. One other snag is that all my walls have been plastered up already.

I'm probably going to get Sky anyway. But doesn't that need an outside arial to go into the digibox? I could be totally wrong though!

If you're gonna get sky you'll need a dish, not sure what they do to your nice new neatly plastered walls though!!

Yeah, I know I need a dish. But I thought I might need the arial to go into the digibox also.

Like it, Viking. Made us laugh!

In reply to the original posting, when I moved in here there was an aerial, but also two black wires with aerial plugs on. But when I plug them in to the back of a telly they do nothing. A little detective work shows that they lead to the satellite dish, so anyone with a sky box could plug into the satellite dish. But when the guy comes round to put your sky in he will put you right.

Nope, but if you want to record one TV channel while watching another, you'll want an aerial connection to your VCR.
