Whats the best place to buy fish in town. I am looking for a place thats sells a little bit more than cod and mackerel.

I get my fish from Waitrose, they have a really good fresh fish counter, but I'm sure there are some decent market stalls somewhere.

Yes, they have all sorts of interesting stuff - quite pricey though.

I tend to get wild salmon but I've had some nice Orange Roughy, Haddock, scallops and tiger prawns as well.

Tescos on Langsett Road has a decent fish counter as well and is a bit cheaper.

There are fresh fish stalls in Castle Market in the city centre.

I tend to get mine from Middletons at the bottom of the Moor.

It's a bit more expensive than elsewhere but there's a huge variety.

The portion sizes are a bit "meal for one", but they can't be beat on freshness.
