Anyone been to 5Star Treament for a spray on tan? Only i've never had one before and i am a little nervous even though my friend told me it was good and there was no mess not like a lot of other types of tanning sprays.

Why would you want a fake tan? I'm not having a go but I'd love to hear your reasons.

I'm sure I do things you would think absurd, and I'd defend them to the death, so please don't take offense.

I like to have a tan, nothing over the top, but a nice healthy colour. I'm pale skinned but not one of those lovely ivory-skinned types, I look run down and ill without a bit of a tan. Having a suntan makes me feel so much more confident about my appearance, I just think I look healthier with one.

I worry about skin cancer and I'm not exactly a natural tanner anyhow (unless you count going red then white again a tan  ), and seeing as I can't afford a holiday, a natural tan doesn't look likely.

But I'm also too scared of going orange and also too short of time and money to get and maintain a fake one.

So I shall stick to my pastey sickly look.

Go to Dixon car clinic they have a large spray both they use for painting cars,,,you could even go for a mettalic finish!!

But seriously,a freind of mine told me it costs more than normal method but is well worth it...she says its boosted her confidence.

I'd recommend it as if you're really pale skinned like me it makes you feel a lot more healthy. One recommendation from experience make sure you wear black underwear and clothes as you can't shower for about 4 - 5 hours after having the application, so don't do what I did and arrange to meet up with friends for lunch as you will look a bit streaky initially!

I just read your views on 'fake tan'. The product we use here at Five Star Treatment is non streaky, non toxic, and it works with the melonin in your skin. So, whatever colour you'd go when you get a natural tan, well that's what colour you go.

Pamela, don't be afraid to try it. We beat anyone in price (if you can prove it), and I'm sure you would love it.

Any way, all next week we have everything at half price until sat 10th April.

I went yesterday and had one done. (£12)

I cant believe the results - i look like i just got back from a 2 week holiday! And it did'nt wash off or go patchy after a shower this morning!

I used to use a sunbed 3 times a week this is a perfect alternative. No Streaks and its fast. I'd definately have one agian.

Just wondering.

When you get a fake tan, do they provide a paler stuff for the 'white bits'?

Honest,...just wondering.:)

I use spary on fake tans before going on holiday/abroad to avoid that 'i've just arrived here, please rip me off' look.

I always go to salons 'cos I don't use it often enough to warrant buying the products and am also scared of staining my bathroom!

I've had a St Tropez done (apparently that's what the celebs use) but its pricey and i've found those spray tan tunnels (think Ross in that notorious episode of 'Friends') are cheaper, less embarrasing, don't leave pant lines and last longer.

Theres one on Chesterfield Rd, Woodseats end (in a solarium shop before the Blue Room, after the HSBC) thats only £12.50 a pop.
