you're all bad bad monkeys. i have to travel over 1000 miles just to get a portion of fish n chips. doubt a 250 metre walk (if that) constitutes a problem!!!

Nonetheless, i feel bad that a multinational company such as Tesco's (yes it is multinational if they have shops in Czech Rep and China) have to close for even a minute. The lost revenue will make the shareholders turn in their waterbeds!!!

Hahahaa! Just to annoy people and follow on from your discussion I went to Tesco in Prague to get cheap vodka before I came back, as you can tell I enjoy local specialities.....

You should have bought some absinthe back instead... they've got the proper knockout stuff over in the Czech Republic!

90% plus... :D :o

Oh baby! my mate brought some of that back from prague last month. We had one shot (a large one to be honest) and it hit us in about 15 seconds. Felt like i was tripping. Great stuff!

Sorry not really on topic, but what the hell!

I used to live in Czechoslovakia (before it became the Czech republic) back in the early 90's and Tesco was a department store, not a supermarket. You'd go there to buy gloves and material and CDs!

Ah, I now know what Star Wars was all about.
In a distant Galaxy.......
Darth Vader torches Tesco and folks have to travel light years to Spar to secure their chocolate supplies!

As amatter of interest was the pressing need for chocolate the result of a pharmaceutical side effect?

Speaking of which, Wormwood (the herb not the Killer, Dictator Rabbit!), the active ingredient of Absinthe is readily to be found growing as a weed all over Sheffield.
I understand it can do serious damage though so it's probably not wise to put it into your salad

ps and completely unrelated.... I keep clicking on one of the message icons and they never get posted. What am I doing wrong (or not doing)
