Now that the anti hunt lobby have suceeded in the abolition of hunting with dogs, do you think fishing/angling should now be banned.

I, as a participant in angling, do not.

I as a participant in angling do not. it creates more revenue than just about any other sport, the money it makes goes to cleaning rivers and protecting wild life,of course it should not be banned, how can you even contemplate such a thing ?

No...i see nothing wrong with any sport of this kind, after all man is the ultimate preditor .....And if you think Hunting with dogs has been abolished you should attend a Hunt ,nothings changed or is likely to in the foreseeable future i attend Hunts from time to time and its business as usual.

You don't put them in your mouth before like my mate does do you FYTC? He says that it warms them up and they wriggle more if you do. Then he goes home and he'll kiss the wife and kids :gag: :gag: :gag:

This is done when the weather is cold because the maggots don't wriggle, I for one could put the filthy, disgusting creatures in my mouth to warm em up, that is why I take a blow lamp and torch the liitle b***ards. Do I need help?:hihi:

I've heard of this, it's very rare and usually happens on a subconcious level. The sufferer apparently wants to feel the suffering of their wife or partner by putting a maggot sized object in their mouths very much like the missus has to do every other Saturday when the kids are at the mother-in-laws.:hihi:

Interesting theory and one that explains a lot, not least the fact that the milkman spends a couple of hours at his house every day whilst my mate's at work!:hihi: :hihi:

I think you've cracked the puzzle, it seems clear his missus requires a far larger 'bait' than a bluebottles offspring.:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Yes, of course fishing should be banned. The common maggot, or indeed worm, has a fully developed set of pain receptors, and as such, running them through with a hook is absolutely barbaric. You should all be ashamed of yourselves...

I would suggest that the majority of participants in Angling are Labour voters, do you really think pi**ing off 3 million plus voters by banning it would be a smart move?
