Well now there's a surprise.

After all the cockups over the new stadium it has come as no surprise to me whey announced this today
http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=365375&CPID=1&clid=&channel=skysports_home_page

It has been a total shambles from start to finish.
The rest of the world must be loving it.

The Welsh certainly are, that's for sure!

Anyway Angelus shouldn't worry too much about it, it's not like you were going to be going in May anyway (nor me either for that matter):hihi: :hihi:

Wonder if the people in charge of the project used to work for Sheffield City Council?:hihi:

It's been a longer running farce than I care to think about. Who else would demolish their national stadium THEN decide they couldn't agree on what to replace it with AND then let the cost and schedule of rebuilding go over by such a ridiculous amount? The English FA. It's a good job we aren't hosting the World cup:mad:

I read this story on a BBC website.

This was inevitable I was told by a friend some weeks ago who was contracted supply rope access for the project.

£1,000,000 every week penalty until the projct finishes over the final deadline :hihi:

What I dislike about the Millennium Stadium is that when the roof is open and the sun is shining, you get a horizontal shadow splitting the field of play and it doesn't make viewing easy.

I've just read THIS STORY (http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-13510126,00.html) on Sky News which explains why perhaps the stadium won't be finished. Apparently bookies have been taking bets for the stadium's completion being on schedule or not. According to the report, site workers have been laying bets, armed with a bit of inside knowledge, that it won't be. I PMSL because if you wrote this as fiction nobody would believe it!:hihi: :hihi:

Heard it on the Today programme this morning, they also said that they didn't take one bet on it being finished in time for the FACF, it could only happen in the UK.
