I have seen two of the three of these and found them quite interesting. I think the last one was quite good and rather dark in places.

Who else has seen them?

To be honest, Sid, I will watch anything with Geraldine McEwan in it. I always enjoy her performances [The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Mapp and Lucia etc], and she is very convincing as Miss Marple.

I have watched them, and found them very good, but to me Joan Hickson was the quintessential Miss Marple and so no-one else will ever "measure up".
Very good telly though, particularly last weeks.

They're dreadful compared to the originals. As sultana pointed out, Joan Hickson was the definitive Miss Marple; there wasn't a need to remake them.

We dont need to watch Miss Marple, because we have our very own Miss Marple on our street, because of her curtain twitching she seems to know who's who and everyones business :D

Hurrah !!! The sparkly blue eyed Mr Nettles will be on my TV. The plots are a little thin at times but who cares when Mr Nettles is back doing some detective stuff. Hope they kill off his drippy wife.

P.S. I am a big Agatha Christie fan and never thought anyone could beat Joan Hickson but though last weeks Miss Marple episode was a little cracker. Really enjoyed it.

I quite like his wife, though she does seem to have quite a lot of leisure time! I do find the daughter rather irritating though.

I don't know about the plots being thin; they're certainly rather surreal sometimes. The Christmas one (about the magician and his family) was a particular corker. The scenery is wonderful too.

I was looking out for that weekly magazine + DVD for Midsomer Murders, but it always seemed to be sold out. The DVDs in the shops are extortionate compared to other TV series. I have heard, though, that they're going to be re-packaged as a box set.
