Zonealarm has picked up several 'intrusions' on my PC over the last couple of days on port 1007 by 80.36.108.15.

Look up shows this to be a Spanish telephone company

Is it anything to worry about, - and should I report it ?

I had zone alarm on and took if off in under 2 days cos it did my head in! It flags up everything and anything and jus gets really anoying. I'd reccommend jus sticking to norton or summat similar.

NEVER put anything of Nortons on your PC - EVER!
I cannot scream and stress this enough

If you want programs that bloat your memory on your PC and are quite frankly one of the most dire programs I have ever used- then go ahead install Nortons.

Zone Alarm is good- but it will keep alerting you to different things.

Go with Agnitum Outpost Pro firewall- you can just set it and leave it to do its job.. nothing has got through mine having had it installed for over, well 3 years now- try it for yourselves.

Its quality.

This is the first warning I've seen, - my ISP uses a server-side firewall so perhaps I should be asking them what's going on :D

I use Zonealarm just to stop any naughty scripts calling home.

Ha3el, you probably had Zone Alarm set so that alerted you everytime it had some sort of security activity.

You can change the settings so that it only alerts you to high security items.

Norton is definitely not the way to go.....take a look at all the other threads on SF about pc security, and the reasons why are there!

Greybeard, I assume that Zone Alarm blocked all those attempted intrusions, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Hopefully you haven't visited any websites that might have attempted to install a dialler on to your pc. Have you done an antispyware/adware scan and an AV scan?

Yes indeedy!

A nice Netgear D834G wirelss ADSL router is a nice bit of kit to solve this problem as well :)
