This forum is getting slower and slower lately. Just now it was taking over a minute to respond to anything....has it been downgraded in user capacity terms?

No, we haven't downgraded the server or throttled the bandwidth.

But we are aware of a problem between 10:00 and about 10:20 every day.

We got a new server to go with teh new software, and we're still tweaking the server.

As we also have day jobs, it's not the easiest thing to do whilst trying to keep the Forum stable.

Sorry - we are looking at it.

Different problem, I'm afraid - there's a stickie at the top of General Sheffield Chat explaining the current situation.

We are looking in to it - it afflicts me on occasion as well!

I've noticed the forum is very slow during the evenings when using IE. If I click on a page I get a blank page with "Done" at the bottom corner but it can take about 20-30 seconds for the content to appear.

On firefox I get no problems though.

I'm using IE at work now (1pm) and it seems fine.

I use Opera and same problem, sometimes pages take ages to load.
