GazB 31-03-2004, 12:25 I'm 5ft8 and my girlfriend is only a bit smaller than me and she doesn't mind. I do though, she's bigger than me with boots on and I feel like a right old turd. being short a problem for other boys getting gfs? it is for me!!! Or it could just be that your homepage indicates you travel round the world passing on STD's? Foxxx 31-03-2004, 12:25 Originally posted by thenewborn being short a problem for other boys getting gfs? it is for me!!! Well I'm short at 5ft 2 without shoes and I've been out with short men in the past, but that's because I'm short and therefore they are still taller than me! How tall are you?? I know some girls will only go for tall men, but not all girls are that shallow! Hey look at nicole kidman and tom cruise!!! Joking aside, do you really find it a problem? I have a few short male friends, we're talking 5 ft 3- 5ft 5, and they have gfs (same size and taller). I think it's to do with their personality and they way they carry themselves. jackthedog 31-03-2004, 12:44 I'm 5'6, and could never go out with anybody taller than me. My ex was exactly my height, but with boots on I felt like she towered over me. Kind of lessens your options a bit really, being short and not wanting tall women! thenewborn 31-03-2004, 12:50 5 foot 5 or 6. these words just to make thread longer evildrneil 31-03-2004, 12:55 I dont really see the problem - my first Gf was over 6feet tall - and so bigger than my diminuative 5'11" - but it didn's bother either of us - whats the big height deal anyway? Bedhead 31-03-2004, 12:59 i'm 5'10 and luv women that are my height and taller! i think it looks kinda cool having a taller woman by your side although saying that i luv women of any height! jackthedog 31-03-2004, 13:57 Originally posted by thenewborn 5 foot 5 or 6. these words just to make thread longer Why? SilentStatic 31-03-2004, 15:26 Why would it be a problem, girls are so small anyway, grr (is too tall) *Twinkle* 31-03-2004, 16:27 I'm 5 foot 7 :D Chris and I are very similar in height... If there were to be a difference, I'd say he is 0.5 inches taller than me... However when I wear my boots thats a different story... Well the heels are 4 inches big lol! Belle 31-03-2004, 16:33 I have dated men who were 8 inches taller than me, and 6 inches shorter, quite a range huh I would have to admit to being slightly uncomfortable with the shorter ones Not so much because I mind, but because I think other people will remark on it and maybe laugh or poke fun And I know that is crap crap crap of me, but it is still the truth When there is no-one else around I am not self-conscious about it, but out in public I am. I used to like very very tall men best, but now having sampled a variety *wink*, I prefer a man to be about 2 inches taller than me, no more than that, so we can kiss and cuddle standing up without me having a crick in my neck Did you need that much info? I doubt it Anyway, message to thenewborn is, 5'8" would be my ideal height in a man, and it certainly aint short. It is probably the national average. There are loads of men shorter than that, especially in poorer parts of the country saxon51 31-03-2004, 16:37 I'm 5' 6", but its not that what's stopping me getting a bird. IT'S THE WIFE!!! Belle 31-03-2004, 16:46 Originally posted by markham I'm 5' 6", but its not that what's stopping me getting a bird. Usually poorer quality of diet... Mosherchik 04-04-2004, 10:26 Im 5ft 8 and thats considered tall for a lass apparantly! My boyf is probly same height maybe a nano cm smaller, dont mind either way if the guy is taller or shorter... we're all the same lying down  A mate of mine (male) said that all women prefer their partners to be taller than them because secretly they like to be dominated??? Hmmmmmm lets see what the consensus is about that statement :D cazzaworld 04-04-2004, 20:40 I'm 5ft 10ins + having a shorter boyf doesn't bother me in the slightest. Its the person that matters, not the height. No matter what anyone says size does not matter. SatanInHeels 05-04-2004, 07:51 im about 5ft 9-10 and my boyfriend is a little bit smaller than me, makes for a few short jokes from me. but it has never been a problem! why would it!! forget your height!! im sure you would easily find a girl if you forget your height and concentrate on ure personality alone!!!!! Hmmmmmm lets see what the consensus is about that statement :D yup i find that mostly true! ;) Mosherchik 05-04-2004, 10:20 Originally posted by Bedhead yup i find that mostly true! ;) I was sorta waiting for screams of protest :D Dont think you have to be tall to be dominating tho, its all about presence, I know some very awkward tall peeps and some very ferocious vertically challenged peeps! Think guys quite like to be dominated to, altho their ideas of domination probably involve leather and spiked heels  :D Veering off subject slightly now. Height is not an issue... Being tall aint all its cracked up to be, the air's thinner up here and you get hit in the face a lot with branches :D Bedhead 05-04-2004, 10:33 Originally posted by Mosherchik Think guys quite like to be dominated to, altho their ideas of domination probably involve leather and spiked heels  :D :o Mosherchik 05-04-2004, 10:41 Im really quite good at shocking you aint I? :P Bedhead 05-04-2004, 11:04 actually, yes you are! - not a bad thing though :P Ned Ludd 05-04-2004, 11:23 This is a confidence issue rather than shortness.. If an individual has a concern about their own height, this is likely to affect self-confidence and therefore the way they interact with members of the opposite gender. If a person isn't relaxed but tense and anxious about this (even if only a little...no pun) it'll be that rather than women's preference for six foot athletes that's the problem. Whilst this perception persists, a continued lack of "success" will increase the level of anxiety and the conviction that height is a major issue and thereby perpetuating the situation. I suspect most women like blokes who are reasonably clean, intelligent and amusing. Ps Why can't I get these message icons on my messages? I need a tutorial on this Forum! |
