Fellow Sheffielders

I know someone with a 'short fuse' who could do with going on an anger management therapy course. This person admits they have a problem but says there's nothing that can be done about it. It's causing this person problems at work, at home and all places in between.

Does anyone know any info/places that offer anger management therapy?

I've googled around for places in Sheffield that offer Anger Management therapy and found this:

http://www.shef.ac.uk/counselling/advice/anger/manage.html

But any further info/advice would be gratefully accepted.

Many thanks

Don't know about formal anger management but they could try meditation and yoga as it disciplines the mind and will give them more control over their outbursts.

It is not anger management that is needed, it is these insulting people ( we have all met them ) who make snide sarcastic remarks all the time usually called taking the P*** to keep their stupid mouths shut.

In the words of the Prophet:My life is in the hands of the next fool who upsets me!!!

Very good idea ... controlling anger is very much about learning to keep your body in a relaxed and calm state.

St George's Hospital (near the University) does proper anger management counselling.

It'll be in the phone book.

And they're a Hospital so they're hardly likely to be in the flippin' electronic version of the Yellow Pages!

Does that apply for all hospitals? Or just this one? Every other hospital is listed on there.. If it's in the book, it's on the website... That's how it works incase you hadn't realised.

Nevermind, I'll find it myself FFS.
