Following a couple of threads asking about people's lower end intestinal activity, I found this info in the news and thought I'd share it with you all.

Foods Eaten Together That Make Wind

Grain with dairy or meat
Fruit with vegetables
Fruit with meats
Fruit with grain or dairy

Foods Eaten Together That Dont' Make Wind

Fruit alone
Grain with vegetables
Pasta with vegetables
Beans with vegetables
Fish with vegetables

On bloating, it also says:

The first thing to do is to make sure that you eat fruit by itself, and never for desert. If you eat fruit straight after a high protein food such as chicken or fish, you're guaranteed noxious fumes. the same applies when you eat fruit at the same time as bread, rice or potatoes. So keep you fruit far away from everyting else and your gas will fade far away.

Yeah, onions are bad, and chick peas, you can always count on chick peas to produce marecageous emanations, unless they are sprouted.

So what's that all about then?

Top culprits for producing farts are:

Cauliflower, Peas, Beans, Bran Cereal, Sprouts, Onions, Beer, Cabbage. Marrowfat peas are particularly bad, but worth the trauma. Veggie curries are really bad. I find meat on the other hand can cause you to get egg-bound. :o

So avoid Chicken and Crispy Duck at all costs:thumbsup:

EGGS.

A certain family member of mine used to eat these so she was pre-loaded. Then wait until we were in the car on a motorway to drop one, so we couldn't open the windows :gag:
