Sharaz persion restraunt on Abbeydale Road, great food, cheap prices and you can smoke the hookah pipes afterwards. I might have spelt it wrong but it's something like that.

It's called Shiraz - on Abbeydale Road.

Yep, the Shiraz is definitely recommended.
(if you are ever in Leeds then the Sahara on Eastgate is the place to go)

Question - is this likely to fall victim to the new smoking ban?? This has only just occurred to me and I'm a bit gutted - I don't smoke generally, but I do like the odd shisha pipe when out!

naps> nothing to do with weed, you put fruit flavoured tobacco in them and its a lovely smooth smoke!!

Cheers
Cis

Hi Omar, talk to "Empire Bar" they do it from time to time and are thinking of opening up a bar for shisha. :-) Encourage them!

Does anyone know of any bars/cafes/restaurants where you can go to smoke shisha/flavoured tobacco with a hookah?
I found a really nice place in Leeds but Sheffield doesn't seem to offer anything like it.
Please let me know.:help:

There's a Persian restaurant on Abbeydale road called Shiraz (opposite bottom of Carterknowle road). I seem to remember people smoking Hookahs there.

check this out http://www.hookah-shisha.com/, basically its just flavoured tobacco, and less harmful than fags. you can get different flavours such as cherry, mint, strawberry, honey, apple etc.

and i agree with wajjid that guy who owns it is really friendly.

Shiraz Restaurant is on Abbeydale Road, but I think they suffered from the smoking ban and you can no longer smoke in there.

Try the Persian shop near Bardwells further down Abbeydale Road, they have Shisha in the window, presume they sell them and the supplies.

That newsagents just off Brookhill R'bout bottom side, also in the window :)It seems most have moved on to selling the equipment for home or private use. Ther shop previously mentioned on Abbeydale did use to put Shish outside for customers to smoke legally but with changing weather that's stopped. It would be worth still going in and asking for an arrangement;)
There is a little persian shop opposte the Spar on Abbeydale Road selling equipment for Shisha and possibly has the stuff that OP is asking for.

Shame some pubs don't do 'arrangements' anymore :hihi:

You mean hub bubbly pipes? lol if so theres a turkish restaurant on London road that does them. Otherwise just pop down to Endcliffe park on a nice day and we're usually there with a pipe and some beers.

Seems that no matter what they do the councils try and claim that they are flouting the smoking ban

My friend went to a Shisha bar in Manchester a few weeks ago, this was the first time I'd heard of them, apparently they are still ok to open even though the smoking ban is now in place!

If it`s outdoors, it`s ok still, surely . . .?

I don't think so as it's still smoking tobacco, but like the poster asked it's still legal outdoors and now the weathers getting nice again it might even be pleasant. There's an Iranian place on the same row as Bardwells on Abbeydale Road does it I think.

i wouldnt recommend going to that place on abbeydale road. his seats are very uncomfortable and he is quite stingy with the flavour and coal. we are waiting for some good weather and then going to be hitting the parks with the sheesha. you can buy a sheesha for 15-25 quid whereas they will charge you 8-12 pounds to smoke it on their premises.

Smoking bans are in..... but shisha smoking is still going on and increasing in popularity!

The last place I smoked shisha out side of home was at the back of a net cafe in Edward Street, You just got to know where to look for it!

Most the time though I tend to smoke at home!

Enjoy ya Hooka!

Given that it's illegal to smoke shisha inside a business - in common with everything else illegal on the forum, it's discussion is no longer welcome here.
