Hi do any of you know any one who buys vinyl records. I have a collection of about 150 LP's mainly from the late 60's and 70's. there taking up much needed space so want to get rid.

What 'genre's' of music i.e Jim Reeves or Soft Machine? Also what condition are they in? and thirdly, how much would you be wantin' for em?

Mine are mostly from the late 70's, skids, clash, blondie, squeeze, boomtown rats, devo, etc few rod stewarts (my guilty secret) and the rest are my parents ranging from roy orbison, beatles to george benson.

not as many as i first thought. think the mrs as had a clear out without me knowing. got 60. would take £120 for them.

Also go the jam all mod cons, bow wow wow, undertones, big country, japan, hazel o'conner, ian dury and the blockheads, billy idol.

I doubt very much they're worth much at all. 20p each at a boot sale maybe?

come cheesy listening is collectible these days, i love the ones with the trippy covers :P
and theres some really good samples to be found :)

I think I may have just blown my credibility all over the wideworldinterwebthing. I have got some proper stuff though. Clock VDA, Theatre of Hate, The Clash, etc, etc. And some bands I can't remember at all . . . who the hell were Malcolm's Interview for instance?

BUSH used to do a really good little turntable that you could get from ARGOS for about £40, had excellent write ups in all the top hifi mags. I managed to get one on EBay for about £15 for my son. Just plug it into the 'aux' socket in your midi system and your away, it sounds absolutely ace!!! A 4 pack of Mckewans Extra and its 1981 again!

funny you should say that, theres one at mi dads (hes just died) and could do with getting shot of, i never checked it out properly tho cos i have a pair of dj decks, think its a single deck (silver), will need to plug into an amp, theres also an amp (black) that hes been using for his puter and some large jvc speakers (black) that you can have for free

There's also a new shop on Rockingham Street near the Telecomm Building at the Charter Row end, called Vinyl Demand.They buy vinyl records.

Nothing wrong with vinyl,ive got my turntable right next to my computer.It cost quite a bit of money but true audiophiles still prefer vinyl.Your vinyl collection sounds similar to mine,just been listening to blondies "eat to the beat" album.Get a turntable and enjoy them.
