Heard he is leaving on Jan 1st?
Megson wants him to stay, the club have not offered him a deal?

Are these all rumours?

Yes its true he had a deal till the end of the season but got offered this coaching role and Megson has let him go .... Good luck to him god loves a trier and nice after recent years to be able to say he gave his all for the club.

Interesting to see what replacements been lined up though .... the rumours about Roberts seem to be gathering pace

Its in the Star, Wednesday wanted him to stay but didn't offer him a contract in time so he's off;

As for the Roberts rumour, it was flying around in the summer, i think its more wishful thinking than anything concrete. If/when Marshall goes back to Stoke of elsewhere and if Milan can part with £1m i suppose Huddesfield will start talking, my feeling is he'll stay where he is until the summer and see what happens at the Terriers during that time.

Bit gutted about this, it was only the other day i was thinking JOC has been a good servant to Wednesday.
All the best to the lad, he's got a first class attitude.

I wish him all the best a rarety of recent times at Hillsborough a player who can hold there head up high at say every time i played I gave 100% for the club. Earned every penny of the money he got from the club, Good Luck to him.

He's got a contract till the summer at Wednesday anyway, but agreed to release him early.

As for Roberts he wouldn't come to Wednesday i wouldn't have thought another very good player for League One would be surprised if he didn't follow Pilkington to a Premier League side or a top Championship one.

After Marshall's reaction to his goal Saturday I'd be surprised if he didn't see the season out with Wednesday. Especially now Etherington is back and playing well at Stoke.

"I’m really disappointed with James’s decision. James only signed a six-month contract in the summer. I wanted him to stay on and sign for another six months to the end of the season and we’d take it from there."

Megson says 6 month deal?

Did he kiss the badge? Did he? If so, that's confirmation of his love for the club, his undying devotion to the cause.

Very true, just like when you say you are totally committed to the club and are not leaving ...

I did put another post on after apologising, I read the article after I was under the impression he had signed a 1 year deal but obvioulsy not. That post got removed though for some reason.

To be fair though we have more than enough cover in the central midfield area anyway.
Prutton, Lines, Palmer, Semedo, Coke, so it's not like he needs replacing desperatly.

The bloke JOC is replacing ......NOT
JOC couldn't even do up Marquez's bootlaces :hihi::hihi::hihi:
Saw him play last season, Class player.
Toronto got Torsten Frings as well also Class and miles ahead of everyone else on the pitch

He's a poor mans Nick Montgomery in my opinion said it before every team needs a player like O'Connor or MOnty not the most technically gift but does the dirty work and puts a foot in gives 100% to the cause.

We now have Semedo in his place who is a lot better player.

Gotta agree with that. Never rated him, a poor player. He's done alrighr getting a move to the mls but Cant see him helping its reputation if he ever plays

He did kiss the badge mate as he ran to corner of kop and north stand to celebrate! Mandaric has also said his main priority is signing Marshall batth and bywater in Jan but its upto the parent clubs I just hope it happens cos I can't see any quality on the flanks in our permanent ranks!

I wish him all the best, he gave 100% but unfortunately for Wednesday he can't pass, tackle, run, shoot or head the ball.

Someone mentioned previously he's like Montgomerie, I had exactly the same conversation with a Blade this weekend and both were mentioned in the same breath.

Good luck to him though as he was a trier, if only we could get JJ to put the same effort in.

Without a shadow of a doubt, i would have got rid ages ago to be honest but I doubt there would be many takers what with his attitude.

said it in the summer when he got new contract that he was garbage and got a bit of stick,jj is hopeless, cant pass, cant cross and very rarely shoots on target, all he can do is run at defenders and that leads to nowt cause he doesn't know when to pass the ball.said it before and i'll say it again why do most owls hero worship him ??? can't see it my self,as for joc he was having a howler earlier in the season with passing and tackling but he turned it around last few games worked hard for the team and started doing ok
