Im originally from Doncaster i moved to Sheffield about 5 - 6 years ago
Although i love my home town of Doncaster and im a Doncaster Rovers fanatic Sheffield has been good to me and made me feel like i can call this place home has anyone else come from donny or elsewhere and had similar experience or has it been the other way round and you cannot wait to leave
Im from Doncaster but i work in sheffield. im looking to move to sheffield as i hate having to travel back to Donny!!! Sheffield is much better and i have missed living there since leaving uni!
Born in "Rosso" - moved to Sheffield aged 12.

Born in DRI, lived in Auckley til i was 8, then Warmsworth til I was 21, then Hexthorpe for a couple of years... been in Sheffield just over 4 years now!

I know someone who is just like this. He worked in Sheffield for a while and now cant wait to come back. He hates it in Doni and hates nights out there.
Moved from Donny to Sheffield to be near work last year and I don't intend to go back. Sheffield is better in every way!

I was Born and bred in Sheffeld but in 2002 I met a woman from Doncaster. After a short while I moved in with her, she lived at Carcroft.
I would move back to Sheffield tomrrow if my woman would live there as well, but she would'nt move now.
I find most people in Donny a little anti social unlke people in Sheffield, but am I being bi-ast

Just an update on my original post I just moved back to Donny as we sold our house and were looking for a new 1 so we went and stayed at my familys to we found 1....I didnt think i would but i started to miss Sheffield so we have got a house in conisbrough which has worked out perfect for me i am know sandwiched between the two towns(1 city) i love.....

i'm from sheffield, high green but moved to warmsworth 18 months ago. me & my partner (whos from edlington) rent a place out together. i moved over there because he's a window fitter fitting upvc windows doors conservitorys etc & it was much easier for me to move than for him to move to sheffield & loose all his business. i still work in sheffield but its getting rather expensive to comute every day so i'm looking for another job in doncaster, preferbley one i gan get to by push bike. i miss sheffield alot, i do get homesick, doncaster is a nice place but its just not sheffield. i realise when i go back to high green to see my parents & my brother & sisters just how much i miss being home:(
