Hi
I've had stiff shoulder/neck issues for a while and was thinking of going to see a physio. I live near the White House physio in Sheffield. Has anyone had good/bad experience of these or can recommend anyone else. What is the usual cost for a session ?
Thanks
Col S
Cols - try your doctor, they can refer you to a physio - I did that and it cleared up my neck problems - until I was on a long haul flight when it flared up again!
I do pilates at the white house and that's also v. good at sorting out neck + back problems. I would go to the pilates studio on ecclesall road as I think it'd be cheaper, but the white house is just round the corner.
The other thing you might want to consider, is whether it's your job that's causing the problems - in my case I sit at a computer and that caused it. If this is the case for you then contact your HR and ask them to get the disabilities people in as there are grants etc... to provide you with equipment to alleviate your symptums. I've now got a freaky chair and keyboard.
I think a colleague goes to a physio in Taptonville house - that large dentist place in broomhill.
Also - try having regulaar massage. It works a treat!
