Seems the millions of pounds worth of new money spend on improving the lot of council tenants estates will be spend all over except Longley - seems when the proposal document was put out to the local estates no one from Longley bothered to reply. I queried this with the council and they say this is the case - bloody farce yet again - and more money for Burngreave , Fir Vale and Firth Park - so the junkies and their dealers are sorted!

Are you saying that the farce is

a) that no one bothered to reply or
b) that the council decided that as no one could be bothered to reply that they'd ignore them?

Harsh. Longley is home to many more junkies than Burngreave, Fir Vale and Firth Park- Fact. Dealers? Well they just come from anywhere, including Longley.

I suppose the reaon there's a lot of funding going into Fir Vale, Firth Park and Burngreave is because those areas have residents associations and other organisations that work closely with council and goverment departments to raise money.

Do Longley and Shiregreen have any similar organisations? Or do you just spent all your spare time chasing UFOs and slagging off your fellow North Sheffielders?
