Hi guys!

Thinking of house with unconverted attic. How difficult/painful/costly is an attic conversion? And do you have any recommendations or workmen to avoid? I've not got a clue so anything will help. Thanxs

hello

we are builders and joiners and can do attic conversions.

it all depends on many factors. roughly between £14k to £18k for complete conversion with a staircase.

all this of course has to have building regulation approval and planning permission if you install a dormer window.

if you are serious about it pm me and we can come round and give you an estimate and show you pictures of a previous one for you to look at to give you an idea.

thanks

Do you also do kitchen extensions into the side return? Roughly how much can I expect to pay excluding installing new kitchen?

it all depends on a lot of factors.
i.e size of extension, brick or render, site access ,existing drainage etc etc.

if you are serious we can come and give you an estimate.

pm your number if so.

thanks

Thank you all for the info. I didn't buy the house in the end, :( so won't be going ahead at the mo, but I'll keep your details in case.
