I've just opened Firefox, and it's lost all my bookmarks and the shortcuts up the top - where do I need to hunt around to get it all back?
Cheers,
Alex

Cheers, Alex Hecate 14-02-2006, 04:43 Right click on the menu bar and select 'Bookmarks Toolbar'. That should help with the bookmark shortcuts. carcrash 14-02-2006, 17:40 I had this problem a few months ago. Somewhere on your hard drive there should be a bookmarks folder. Find that and then cut and paste them into firefox. ToryCynic 14-02-2006, 19:48 Got it sorted, cheers. :) SpiderPete 15-02-2006, 11:23 I have today lost all my bookmarkas as well, although I can see the bookmark in the menu, everything has vanished. Any ideas where the file is saved to ? Try from the Run dialog box... "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p (This didn't do it for me). If that fails, then do a search on your computer for bookmarks.bak. You will have to search hidden/system files etc. Copy this to your Firefox profiles (AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles) (*) folder and rename it to bookmarks.html. (*) Run that from 'Run', removing the brackets, then after hunting down the bookmarks, rename bookmarks.bak to .html, and stick them in the Profiles folder. That's how I got them back. Hope the instructions make sense. :) SpiderPete 15-02-2006, 16:33 Cheers Kentboy, worked a treat, fanxs  |
