Hi a freind of mine has recentley upgraded to AOL platinum and is using a speedtouch 576 wireless router to connect to his PC via a wire, but he also want to use it connect to a laptop via a wireless conncection, after much fiddling around we have drawn a blank, wireless card is getting a signal from the router and shows the network name he has chosen and indicates a 100% connection, however when tring to run AOL all we get is message saying service failed to conncect to DNS, anyone have nay idea how we may solve this problem, AOL help are of course no use at all...AOL bashing replies not usefull, any help much appreciated...thanks

The only thing i can think of is that the MTU needs setting at 1400 and not the 1500 it is set to by default on most routers. This is just one more way that AOL feel they need to be different than everyone else :rolleyes:

To change the setting you normally need to log in to your router by typing 192.168.1.1 in to your browser.
