I was wondering if giving out your bank details to companys like easy jet or wizzair when booking flights is risky,are your details secure or is it better to book by phone?

Its more secure than booking by phone. Not heard of wizzair, but the likes of Ryanair and Easyjet will have bullletproof internet security measures :)

I wouldn't worry about Easyjet. I reckon most of their business is done over internet so there's a few people who've risked it before you! For what it's worth I've used them several times. No hassle or problems.

You should be more worried about the security of your PC. That's usually where the weakness is with online transactions.

No it's fine Roy.... I do a lot of buying over the net and it is quite secure.... if its a local european flight like Ryanair ( if they're still going ) or easyjet or Wizzair or even (British midland for flights to London only), I have never had a problem in over five years. You even get a dicount for on line orders.

I tend to use my credit card rather than debit/bank card for online purchases; have never had any problems.

go with a credit card rather than bank details (do you mean debit card?) as you have more protection if something does go wrong.
But so long as your pc is secure there should be no problem.

I have booked online with Easyjet before and Ryanair. I always use my credit card with a low limit and make sure the site is secure it should day https://www.etc.

Never had a problem.

I'd be more worried about taking money out at an atm than booking tickets with easyjet etc...

You can usually tell if a site looks reputable or not.

I never book flights any other way and have never had a problem, also the online price is often cheaper than the one you get over the phone. :thumbsup:

I have booked somewhere between 40-50 return flights on line with Easyjet over the past 7-8 years and would thoroughly recommend them. Never had any problem with them or any of the online airlines that i have used which have included Ryanair, BMIbaby and Buzz. Never heard of Wizz bit I think you can book Easyjet with confidence.

For added peace of mind and security, make sure your computer is free of spyware. Run adaware SE and or Spybot often. Both are free.

By the way Wizzair are very cheap,just compared their prices with easy jet and ryan air and they are still the cheapest.
