Hailing from Los Angeles, Kutmah is renouned for his connections with Low End Theory, Brainfeeder, Hit+Run, Dublab and Stones Throw. He was a key element in starting the LA beat scene with his pioneering club night Sketchbook – the breeding ground for artists like Flying Lotus, Ras G, Dibia$e, Take, Gaslamp Killer and Daedelus. With his eclectic sound and original style he has supported acts such as Yoko Ono, Erykah Badu, Sonic Youth, Madlib, MF DOOM, Animal Collective, TV on the Radio, The Cinematic Orchestra, Devendra Banhart and Prefuse 73 to name a few. His eclectic mixes take in everything from upfront electronica, rare Egyptian funk, to even the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme song, and of course mad exclusives from his friends back in Los Angeles. Last weekend he was playing alongside Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin and Rustie. This weekend he plays The Harley!
