So, we all have an online persona (this may have been done before) but how much of it is you? What part of it is a true reflection of you?

What are the really bad and good aspects of your personality ( go on I dare you to be truthful) in real life?

Which things make you cringe that you do or say?

I'm curious as I had a personality shift today that was very productive.

How much of my online persona is me? Why all of it, darlin. Warts and all.

What are the really bad and good aspects of my personality? Well, I have a really BAD temper. Remember that girl from TLC? The one who died in the car wreck? Lisa 'left eye' Lopes. She burned down her boyfriend's house, and when the police arrested her she said she'd only intended to light his shoes on fire and it got out of hand. That was totally me when I was younger and before I had kids. I cannot mention one incident from July 1981 because the San Leandro, California police department might still be interested. But believe me girls, he more than had it coming. ;)

I am one of those people with good intentions, but I'm a horrible procastinator, and this causes me no end of distress because I HATE to let others down or not treat them with respect. Unless you act like a jerk. In which case, I'll treat you like cr*p because I don't care what you think of me.

The exception to this rule is if I sense someone has a good heart buried beneath a jerk exterior. Which is the case with a certain forum member. No matter how much anti-american BS this person spouts, I get the feeling that underneath it all, they've been hurt horribly, and I cannot bring myself to be mean to them.

Like most americans, I tend to be impatient and accustomed to getting exactly what I want, and getting it cheap and fast. I hate b*llsh*t, but if I think I can b*llsh*t you, I'm enough of a hypocrite to go for it. I'm a terrible liar, but I'll tell a white lie in a heartbeat to spare someone's feelings. "Why yes, what a beautiful baby!"

I'm not above holding a grudge, but if you've been good to me, I won't ever forget it, and I'll bend over backwards for you. I love helping others, and I firmly believe that knowledge is indeed power. I hate to see others picked on, and I abhor a bully. I know, funny coming from an american, we're only seen as the biggest damn bullies in the world! I also hate stereotypes and people who make up their minds before hearing all the info.

I believe that what goes around comes around. Eventually, but rarely fast enough. I love babies, kids and animals. I spoil my children and a therapist once told me my problem is that I'm trying to be the kind of mother I wanted, but never had. I think she was right. I talk to my dog like she's my child and kiss her, I also kiss my son's pet rat and let him drink from my glass. Ewwww. I know. My husband can't watch and I'll probably die from some deadly rat disease.

I love reading and writing, words, books, and talking to people. I'm fascinated by life in other countries, by archeology, the idea of reincarnation, and by how people lived years ago.

I'm still astounded at how some men let the little head tell the big head what to do. Even at the risk of their losing everything.

I cannot abide snot nosed, know it all young people with no respect for their elders. Even though I may have been one myself. I'm not sure. :D

If someone p*sses me off bad enough, no one is a bigger biatch than I am. No one.

But if I like you and you come to my house, no one is a better hostess than I am.

Coming as I do from California, I've seen movie stars without their makeup. Very few looked great. Most looked like average people, or more often like absolute sh*te. Like most americans, I have no use for snobs and people who think they're better than others because their family has money. At the same time, I'm intensely curious about your royal family.

Oh, and when I'm bored, I talk too much.

I suspect that in real life Don has the demeanour of a lugubrious, sour-faced undertaker who has never been known to smile, crack a joke or utter a witticism at any time during his long funereal life. Luckily for us, his alter ego has escaped and is given free reign on this forum. More power to Don's elbow:D :D

I've always thought you get a very true and quick impression fm a persons first few writings, with my warped humour i often get misunderstood,so try hard to convey what i'm trying to say.I was quite supprised when a lady I always consider very austere fm her writing, said she was laughing through her nose I suppose we all hold something back

In the real world, I genuinely am 100% the person I am on here.
It would be daft not to be - as I may end up meeting a few people from here in the future!

@fox20thc - I'm not gay. I am single. Probably a little weird :hihi:

If you had your true identity posted here instead of an anonymous identity would you be so honest or viscious, or is this forum a means of being your true self?
Yours in all honesty

Thanks for that, Sierra - I laughed so hard through it! :hihi: Oh and the Rat kissage? :shakes: That isn't healthy :hihi:

Where in California are you and who have you seen?! My biggest spot was Sarah Michelle Gellar... But nobody cares... :(

Oh and by the by, the British Royal Family aint all that :hihi: You should hear the way they're talked about over here -- you'd think people would show a little more respect to them, but apparently the Royals have no power over here.

stars_gazing, I know I shouldn't, but you should see the little guy. He is SO cute and affectionate! He stands on his hind legs and stretches his little rat arms out like a child, begging, pick me up! Pick me up! Awhile back, one of my son's friends found a domestic rat in a park. Since it's warm here, quite a few lazy, irresponsible people abandon pet rats, hamsters, rabbits etc and leave these poor critters to fend for themselves.

They're domestic animals, people! They can't fend for themselves, they're used to someone taking care of them! Makes me see red!

They didn't want him, so of course my boy begged ME if we could have him. We took him, and he was the sweetest pet. He died late last year, so we went out and got another rat. He's very gentle, loves attention, and has NEVER bitten anyone. My husband who loves most animals, doesn't feel the same way. He says he just can't get past the tail. :hihi:

I'm in Northern California, where I was born and raised. I live in Modesto, which is about 80 miles east of San Francisco.

Movie stars? We saw Jamie Lee Curtis and her daughter in a juice bar in Los Angeles. My husband is a big fan of hers, but was too shy to approach her. She seemed very nice, was patient and accomodating to people who asked for autographs and pictures while she waited for her juice. Her daughter appeared bored with strangers talking to her mom, I'm sure this happens all the time.

When I was a teenager, my BFF's dad owned a painting company in the Bay Area. They were hired to re-paint portions of Alcatraz to make it look new because Clint Eastwood was filming Escape from Alcatraz there. We rode over on the ferry with the painters, and saw Clint Eastwood (he's really tall), and his then girlfriend, Sondra Locke. We were too shy to approach them. AND my friend's dad made us work!

Skiing at Bear Valley http://www.bearvalley.com/ more than twenty years ago, I ran into Jeff Bridges. Literally. I knocked him on his butt, and it was all MY fault. He was friendly and very gracious. He asked if I was ok, we got our skis and poles sorted out, and he took off. He's one star who looks just like he does in the movies, and he's also tall. At least 6 feet. And blonde, nice looking. I found out later his father, Lloyd Bridges had a big place somewhere nearby. I was never a big fan of his before, but I am now.

Two of his best movies:The Big Lebowski, and The Last Picture Show. He's made some stinkers. Like King Kong and Against All Odds.

My sister and I saw Pam Anderson and one her sons at a mall in Southern California. I wish I could remember the city. Without all the makeup, teased hair, and revealing outfits, she's surprisingly tiny. She seemed an attentive mom. Her attention was focused entirely on her boy, and she was ignoring the glances and whispers. There was an older woman with her as well. Maybe her mother?

As a child, my parents were in a dither because Rock Hudson and his entourage walked into the restaurant we were eating at in San Francisco. I don't remember much about him. I remember my mother wanting to get a picture, but he was whisked away to a private room upstairs by the employees.

Also as a kid, my father and I were in an elevator at the Mark Hopkins Hotel when Jack Palance got on. http://www.filmnight.org/jackpalance.htm He asked my father for the time, thanked him, then got off on another floor. My dad told my mom, but I didn't have a clue who he was.

Sometime in the 70's, my husband's aunt owned a restaurant/bar in Oroville, California. During the time that Richard Burton was filming The Klansman there, the stars and film crew ate (and drank) there almost daily. She said that Elizabeth Taylor could drink any man under the table. And according to my husband's aunt, frequently did. She said Richard Burton also drank like a fish, but was unfalingly polite to the staff, tipped well, but was incredibly henpecked. She said Taylor seemingly wore the pants in the family, and I think they were divorced later that same year. Lee Marvin ran up a huge bar tab, then left without paying any of it! Husband's aunt had to threaten legal action! Someone finally paid up like six months later.

There's more, but my kids are clamoring for pancakes and bacon. It's Sunday morning here. And Sarah Michelle Gellar is GREAT! It's funny seeing someone famous. You're usually not expecting it, but that person looks familiar, and you rack your brains thinking, where have I seem them before? Ah yes! It's so and so!

:) Sierra

P. S. I'm STILL fascinated by royalty.

I'm not as bitchy in real life...I hope.. But I think everyone is tougher over a computer. Unless it's a friend I don't really speak of my opinions in person.. it's just that nobody can hurt you if you're at the other side of the internet.. if they don't know where you live :|
