Well yes its that time again, the Winter Olympics brrrrr, I feel cold already
The opening ceremony is tonight, and I for one, will be watching it, its is on BBC2 as we speak.
17 days of sportmen and women, what more can you ask for, so how many of you will be watching it ?, will Great Britain win many medals ?, answer no, lol.
So decided to do a poll as well, you know you all like them.... oh bugger forgot to press the poll option, LOL, never mind, DOH
Hi everyone,
Winter Olympics are great
I will watch as often as I can.
Does anyone know if there are some public places where they are broadcasted on a big screen, preferably near the city centre?
This would be great.

Absoultely lovin it:thumbsup:
I was thinking about this today and think that on the whole the Winter Games requires much more skill than the Summer ones. For most Summer events all it requires is either freak like size, outstanding aerobic ability or super speed/strength.
Winter events seem to rely more on the skill of the competitor than his/her physical attributes.
On another note, what pleasure I took from the idiot American who through away the Gold medal in the snowboard cross in such a way only an American could - absolutely PMSL!!
If that was good enough, seeing the USA Ice hockey (womens) team lose on penalities to Sweden in the Semis - Brilliant!
U - S - waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Quality

I saw that! So funny. The American tried unsuccessfully to do a spectacular last jump, lost control but managed to get back up only to see the one in 2nd place sail past to snatch Gold. Talk about counting their chickens :hihi: :hihi:
