Was a very good game, one of the best performances from a forum team since it all started, against a very decent team in Titans who had won 8-0 the week previously.
Keep up the hard work fellas !!!

Sheffield Forum lost out to in-form Titans in a close game. Only 1 change to the starting line up for this game, Matthew Corker coming in for Nathan Jenkins who was starting on the bench nursing a sore ankle. Other than that, player positioning changes were made.

Both teams were up for this game up on Herdings in the fog but it was Sheffield Titans who applied the early pressure but failed to cause any real threat. Around 20 minutes in, Shaun Baugh went over on his ankle and after 5 minutes trying to get back, had to be substituted meaning Jenkins made a premature return.

Forum slowly got into the game with Matthews, Sheedy, Middlebrook and Wales linking up well in the middle but unfortunately no end product.

Sheffield Titans did take the lead when little Ryan Lynch was beaten in the air at the back post. Forum continued to chase a goal with good spells of football.

Forums effort was eventually rewarded from a corner. The keeper fumbled the cross, the ball bounced around the area until a few yards out, Liam Wales managed to take a touch before hitting the ball home taking the game in 1-1 at the break.

HT: Sheffield Forum 1-1 Sheffield Titans

The second half started the same way, Forum applying pressure and attacking quickly whilst Titans were much calmer in possession and played the ball around a bit more.

Neither keeper were really tested but Titans did score a 2nd goal after a defensive mix-up as the ball just went over Jenkins head, falling at the feet of the Titans forward who was then clear and put the ball in the corner of the net.

Forum, feeling hard done by chased an equaliser but pushing forward more allowed Titans a little more time in attack and on the counter. Forum when in possession soon got bodies forward but could not grab a goal to take a well deserved point. Possibly the closest Forum came was an Ashley Matthews long range shot that just swerved away from the far post.

The game finished Sheffield Forum 1-2 Sheffield Titans, a harsh way to lose a very good game after such a positive performance against then the 2nd placed side.

So far this season, results have been ground out with luck staying away from the games but we go into the fixture this Sunday against leaders CosyWarm full of confidence looking to put things right!
