Was at work the other day and "sugar baby love" by the rubettes came on and it took me back to the early 70s.All the star jumpers, platforms and flairs.Being 14 then life seemed so simple. It got me to thinking what records remind me of good times and i came up with i feel love by donna summer, and zoom by fat larrys band. The donna summer one came out in 1977 which had a great summer which i spent most of the time on holiday and being 16 was pretty good, if you no what i mean. The fat larry one was out when i met my wife in 1983 so its still one we both like. There are records i hear which remind me of folk who are no longer here but suppose thats a bit morbid.Just a thought anyhow, cheers brooksy.:) :)

Department S - Is Vic There? Reminds me of the Hole In The Road - really don't know why, but it does.

Boney M - Rivers Of Babylon Brings Chapel St Leonards to my head - because we were on holiday there when that record came out and was constantly being played on jukeboxes in the amusement arcades.

Slade - So Here It Is Merry Christmas - Matlock Bath?????????!!!!!!! No idea why.

The Police - Don't Stand So Close To Me - reminds me of my final year at school.

T Rex - Get It On - Chopper Bikes and Council Houses.

Soft Cell - Tainted Love - My ex...

Out of time Chris Farlowe - my mothers favourite record and my favourite singer, I bought it in Bridlington aged 15 on the day it went to number one. I still go and see Chris at Sheffield City Hall when I can, he has an amazing voice

Pretty Flamingo - Manfred Mann, the first record I bought with my own wages

Albatross - Fleetwood Mac, also one of my mothers favourites. She was born in 1913 but had great musical taste and never complained about my loud music, she was very hip for her age

Sailing - Rod Stewart, a hot and dry 1976 summer holiday on a barge, the Llangollen canal and singing along with my mates. Life was good and I was 21.:)

In every dream home a heartache - Roxy Music, a hot and packed Buccaneer in 1972. Amazing music in an amazing pub.

Bridge over troubled water - Simon and Garfunkel, my last years at Hinde House 1970 and all my good school mates.
