Ok so I'm over 50 (not by a lot) but I think teams kits today are, as a rule, pretty awful - especially these navy / black / grey abominations that pass as "away" kits. And why do some teams - especially Arsenal - change when there is no clash with the home teams kit - why did they wear that horrible yellow and blue kit at Birmingham and Bolton (apart from ££££)? Enough of the rant.........
My favourites; Blackpools Tangerine & White, Ajax White with Red stripe, Celtic's hoops (60's kit with numbers only on the shorts), Leeds change kit in the early 60's - royal blue shirts, gold shorts, and the classical England kit from the 60's of white, navy & white plus the beautiful scarlet & white we won the world cup in - but my all time winner has got to be the claret with light blue sleeves and white shorts as worn by Villa, West ham & Burnley in the 60's.
Worst - the all grey of Man Utd when they got hammered at Southampton and Englands grey change strip in Euro '96. The one that always made me laugh as a kid was in the local parks leagues around Doncaster - the YMCA used to play in pink - needless to say in a league that mainly consisted or miners / works teams they got well hammered.
And let's keep away from blue & white / red & white stripes.........

Manchester City once had a reserve kit which was yellow and black squares making them look very much like a Boddington's pub team.
What about the awful brown away kit of Coventry:gag: :gag:

I'd forgotten that one - leading so far in the kit from hell stakes I think.

I used to love collecting football kits for a good few years in my teens.
The best ones I collected were- again the Ajax one- they didnt stock any of the home kit in Sheffield back in the day so I had to beg my dad to drive me to leicester to go and get one (bless him!), the same day I also bought the England Home GK top (remember the multi coloured one) which was the best GK top I every bought which I used phenomenally well to put people off in football matches the colour being that garish on it.
Also I remember buying the Newcastle United home top as well which was fab because I was going through an Adidas addiction at the time (have now switched to Nike)
The other ones I remember getting:
I had a really nice Juventus (Home Kit) which was lovely and a decent material as well, also on my mates travels abroad I had him pick me up a Away shirt from Barcelona (the ugly orange one) and also a Panathinaikos (Home) jersey which was made out of the crappest material I've ever felt so I've never wore it.
I bet I've nearly spent well over a grand buying football tops in my youth, mostly spending on all the Manchester United kits over the years.
I remember going out and getting the grey one as well one the day it was released from Worksop- and I remember umming and ahhing about it in the shop as well before I bought it.
I thought it was a nice kit though- after trying it out.
The best top ever for me- Man Utds home jersey which had the Old Trafford print onto it!! Absolutely fab.
