Hello!

I am moving to Beeston, just South West of Nottingham in about a month and wondered if any of you forumers have ever lived/worked there? I'm just looking for some info on the area that I won't get from my online searches, any personal stories etc.

I'm sad about leaving Sheffield but will be sure to log on to SF to keep up to date with the latest Sheffield news!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello ScienceGirl,

I've lived in Beeston, a massive student area, combined with families and a few bad eggs too.
It has it's own shopping area (pedestrianised - think the Moor/Fargate and your halfway there), bus depot and train station. Very flat, great for bike-riding, loads of green open spaces.
To be honest, I didn't like it there (I was having some difficulties at the time), but it's a nice area, just not for me!

Anything else, give us a shout:)
