What are some of your favourite Martial Arts films?

Can any film beat the all time classic Drunken Master?

To say it's pretty new, a Thai film (subtitled) called Ong Bak has some of the best, and most realistic action I've ever seen. The main character trained for 5 years solid in Thai boxing camps around Thailand just for the film and does all his own stunts.

Apparently, loads of Hollywood producers are after him and he's learning English!

Other than that, Kickboxer is an all time cheesy classic haha :D

Kickboxer is a classic too. Personally my fave JCVD film is Blood Sport. Bolo Yeung is class.

Favourite Martial Arts movie? Enter the Dragon, no contest! Without it and the impact it had on Western box offices, Martial Arts movies would still probably be exclusively filmed in China instead of Hollywood studios.

And without Bruce Lee there'd be no Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Don "The Dragon" Wilson etc either.

I generally prefer Martial Arts films that have been made in Hong Kong and China anyway.

Ong Bak is awesome. I love the chase scene almost as much as I love the fighting.

I quite like Fighter in the Wind, a relatively new Korean film. It's not a classic, but if does have that same 'wincing at the impact' aspect that Ong Bak has.

I love Kung Fu Hustle, that is sooo funny lol
And I love cheesy films like Blood Sport or Jackie Chans early pre-Hollywood films.

And I watched a really funny film that was an old movie dubbed with a new character in it. It had a scene that involved him fighting a cow matrix style.
It was brilliant but I cant remember what it was called and I have no intention of ringing my ex to ask him :(
