Just driven up City Road and they are pulling cars into the cemetry for what appeared to be random car checks. Fortunately as ours was the last car in the queue and we were blocking the road they moved us on.
All cars were being pulled so if you want to avoid unecessary delays, avoid City Road!

Nothing better to do Last week we had a little accident, someone ran into the back of me while I was letting traffic through. To cut a long story short details were not exchanged correctly and the driver drove of without exchanging full details, when we said we wanted whitenesses. Lucky I took pictures of the car and driver. When we reported it to the police we were told they didn't need to know because no one was hurt. I said they had left the scene of a accident and wanted it reporting, they replied I had enough details to give to the insurance company and they weren't concerned. I lost my temper and and walked out of the police station but Brenda got them to make out a report even though they said they would not follow it up. What a waste of time, When we came of the Bike and tried to report that driver some months later we were told we should have reported it at the time. Don't figure does it. Maybe there all too busy nicking people doing 37mph in a 30 limit or finding minute faults like to much emmisions.

Don't worry about this! The police are only involved in accidents if someone is hurt or a crime has been committed. In my job as a taxi driver, I've had more accidents over the last eleven years than I care to remember. One involved a pregnant women rear-ending me and completely destroying my car. She was too shocked to give me any details. The insurance company sorted it all out. On another occassion a German tourist collided with me. The damage was minimal and I told her to go on her way. But, apparently, in Germany the police do get involved in such things and she went into a panic and insisted I call them. The officer told her to agree a sum with me and be on her way. That cost her!
