Does anyone remember the disco's which were held at Romeo's (old Cairo's). They were run by Auntie Janet & Uncle Bernie. It was on a Saturday afternoon and full of kids dancing to Modern Romance and wearing leather box jackets!!!!

OMG! My friend Helen and I went to one of those, we were about 13 at the time and thought we were soooooo grown up. Wonder whatever happened to Auntie Janet and Uncle Bernie....

Wow! Someone else who remembers them! I used to go with my friends and once won a disco dancing competition dancing to Micheal Jacksons Billie Jean!!! I won the princely sum of £1.00!

I went to the Junior Star discos at Romeo and Juliets and also at another venue. I can't remember of it was at Silver Blades or at the United ground.

Ahhhh! Those were the days!

Oh happy times! Ra-ra skirts and patent leather shoes were the outfit of choice. :thumbsup:

You had to check out Monday night's Star too, because they took a photo of the crowd and if you were circled, you got in free next week! :hihi:
