I need some ideas for valentines day for my man. I can't really splash out on anything too expensive so cheap but good suggestions will do.

Any ideas? Anyone?

What are you doing for your man this valentines day?

This is a family forum ... so I cant post my ideas when I read your thread ... but I'm sure they will be well received.

In return I expect a meal out and a few cocktails.

I'll be making a voodoo doll of my bloke cos' no matter how many times I tell him this great commercial drivel is nearly here... he always forgets.

I pretend not to care and I wouldn't if he spoilt me other times of the year instead but he's not into showing he loves me with a pressie ( or cleaning the house) and I am a material girl and sometimes I want a present.

I know it's shallow but I want a pressie. I get him one and cook him an extra special meal every year and watch him gobble it all up saying 'oops sorry love, forgot again but I do love you'

But I want a pressie!!!

You should tell him, you want a pressie!! Ask him before the date 'what have you got me then?' he will soon remember.

well, I never forget valentines day, because my birthday is the day before, and as usual, i wont be getting anything for my birthday, or valentines day, it's been so long since anyone cared enough to spoil me that I am just resigned to disappointment now.

oh well, thats life.

Yeah me too! I spend hours and days and weeks making cards for all those romantic couples out there, make him the best one and then don't even get one! Pah!

Please don't think I'm going for the sympathy vote but I've never received a valentines card or present in my life. I know people can go overboard with valentines etc., but I think it's nice to be spoilt at least once a year. Why not buy yourself some gorgeous underwear and lovely perfume? Then you can tell your man you're wearing his present. Maybe give him a back or shoulder massage? It seems to work in films!!!

Why not go down

to the pub with all his mates and watch watever's on Sky Sports with him, get tanked up like he does, then go for a 'Ruby' afterwards. He'll love you for that!

I've never really understood why anyone would want to go out to a resturant crammed full of strangers, eat a overpriced meal, drink poor wine at good wine prices, then struggle to find a taxi home in the rain.....

Me and my other half are going to spend the evening in each others company, some easy music on the hifi, having a nice simple and easy meal - a nice tasty fillet steak from Chatsworth Farm Shop, some yummy home made chips, a few veg and a tasty pepper sauce.... Washed down with our favourite Rioja, cuddle up on the sofa, favourite film, then an early night....

As for the rest... well depends what you like....

Why slow mo when you can hover mow !!!!

Easy does it....

What are you doing for your man this valentines day?I'm letting him go to Brammall Lane (football widow *sigh* ) while I cook a romantic supper.
In exchange he's taken the next day off and we're going to see the sights of Liverpool.

That sounds lovely, I still don't know what to do. Might just have a romantic night in together, wont cost the earth either.
