I need a couple of XP pro license stickers from some old base units that are no longer in use. If you are scrapping any old computers can you see if they have stickers on.

They are not really that advanced. You are allowed to change the hardware inside the box and still use the sticker so sticking them on a new box is a bit of a grey area! I can't see MS being that bothered though. Thousands must have already gone to landfill, I have no idea how many I would have chucked away in the past either!

i used to get them from dumpit sites off the old comps but not sure if they are allowed to let you now

dont think microsoft cares any more lol

Apparently if you phone MS up they will just give you an XP key nowadays - not sure how accurate that is, but seen it in several places.
