A NEW ticket called FIRSTHOP at 50p allows you to travel 3 stops in Sheffield!

The main moan most of us have is if you live on a non Overgound route we get the oldest buses and a basic half hourly service so if one is missing we get a waiting time of an hour. Not what I call a quality service. I would also say that most of the non overground network is provided with a subsidy from the PTE.

Some interesting facts taken from the PTE Annual report 2002/3 copies available at local PTE travel shop

Bus Services:
Passenger journeys 125m (target 138m)
Subsidised services - cost per passenger journey 79.3p (target 71.6p)
Proportion of scheduled services operated 97.5% (target 98%)
Proportion of scheduled services operating to time 89.4% (target 95%)

Trams
Passenger journeys 11.5m (target 11.6m)
Net cost per passenger journey - No subsidy
Reliability 99.9% (target 100%)
Punctuality 95.8% (target 98%)
