Sheffield Forum went down 2-1 away to 4th division Royal Misfits in this County Cup encounter. Changes to the side were forced due to injury with Joe Appleby out, whilst Scott Fraser was away. Joe Neate made his injury worse and is not out for the forseeable future. Liam Wales attempted return from injury lasted less than half an hour as he had to be replaced by Andy Coates. Matthew Corker played the game despite struggling with his rib injury. Proctor had to cover left back whilst Middlebrook covered centre back. Carroll played left wing in a makeshift side.

Misfits took the lead with a shot from outside the area after good pressure on after around 25 minutes. The ball eventually breaking to a free player to score the first goal. The game was pretty much end to end with Wales having chances early on. Half time came with the score 1-0.

The second half, Forum struggled to get into the game but did eventually pull a goal back through Daniel Sheedy, his 5th goal this season. As Forum gained momentum and pushed for a winner, Misfits gained possession, found a forward unmarked in the area who finished with literally seconds to go. Forum tried one last attack with 2 defenders going forward but the whistle went to end the game Misfits 1-0 Sheffield Forum.
