Just been reading the thread about Anns Rd School, and the rebuilding project, i believe kids from Heeley Bank were transfered to Anns Rd from the 1980s onwards even though the building is standing, and looking a little sorry now.
I attended during the late 60s/ early 70s i remember some of the teachers being Mr Beatson (Head Jnrs), Mrs Shearstone (Head Inf), Mr Staples, Mr Dowse, Miss Tymms, Mrs Jones, Miss Holiday, Mrs Bellamy. Cant remember anymore teachers, but happy memories, rounders in the yard, and the sports day on the field (which i believe has now gone)
Anyone else with memories of Heeley Bank?

I went to Heeley Bank during the early 70's, so I do remember Mr Beatson and some of the other names you mention. After that I went on to Newfield.
It was one hell of a walk up the hill to school for me as I lived down Mrytle rd.

I was in Mrs Slacks class for a while.

A friend of mine went to Heeley Bank in the 60's. Her name was Jane Clayton. Do you remember her?
