I've just changed the deceased batteries in my wireless controller for my Xbox 360 console, but the controller still doesn't work! :rant:

Anyone got any ideas what could be wrong? I don't think it's dud batteries as the power light is flashing on the controller, but I could be wrong I suppose :(
