Hey, I'm new to Sheffield and I'm a huge jazz & blues fan
So where are the best hangouts for some jazz and blues live music?
Thanks everyone :)

Blues wise you have to check the papers. I know a few bands like Green Onions, Highway Child do gigs allover the place. I'll post some dates and venues when i have a little more time to look around.

You'll have to ask someone else for jazz. :)

Miles

Have you got yur BB King tickets?

The last surviving blues legend is coming to Sheffield on his farewell tour in March. Should be a great night, Gary Moore is supporting.

Weststreetlive looks great, thanks.

Ohhhh yes I bought my BB King ticket as soon as I heard he was playing. Didn't realise Gary Moore was going to be there until I went to the Arena to get the tickets, I was pretty damn happy! Going to be an excellent night.

Blues in Sheffield tend to be pub gigs, look in the Sheffield Telegraph listings pages on a Friday for details.

You may be interested in the Blues festival in Sheffield 28th-29th April. There will be live music in a number of pubs, plus a main stage venue.

Whatever you do miles, make sure you see Frank White - Sheffield's outstanding blues maestro.

Simply the best. Leaves Clapton looking pedestrian.

Gets better with age like vintage port.

He is world class.

They have Jazz on at the Showroom bar every Sunday, one of my friends is singing there and she's fantastic!
